NIEUW PAND GEKRAAKT VOOR VLUCHTELINGEN WIJ ZIJN HIER

By admin

Ze …read more

no border serbia: Join the international action day! 31st of October

Join the international action day! 31st of October

In order to join the international action day against borders, Fortress-Europe, apartheid walls and fences, and as a symbolic act of solidarity with migrants in their every day struggle for freedom and dignity – we are calling you to take part in the solidarity action on Saturday, on 31st of October on the Serbian-Croatian border ( Bapska border crossing).

As the comrades from Greece wrote (http://www.change4all.eu/change-in-action/detail/stop-the-drownings-in-the-aegean-sea-tear-down-the-evros-fence.html) – we can not be silent facing death and suffer. As long as borders exist, as long as we are surrounded by fences and walls the European Union will be committing the killing of thousands of people, and the Balkan states are part of this murder machine too.

After the meeting on the Western Balkans Migration Route in Brussels (http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-15-5904_en.htm) plans of mass deportations are already preparing to be carried out, also more increased presence of Frontex in the region is expected, shortly, it’s the time to show unity and resistance, and send a powerful message: …read more

NO BORDER, NO NATION, STOP DEPORTATION

/////

The boundaries of the fortress Europe are becoming ‘death camps’ with unbearable lightness. Judging by the statements of politicians from the periphery of Europe, pressured by the European Commission, it is a question of time before the barbed wires will extend from Hungary to other routes of the present and future Schengen area. Barbed wire and fences that are springing up thanks to the mechanisms of forced labor, by exploitation of the working force of the most vulnerable members of society – prisoners and the unemployed, are not and will not stop the migration of thousands of people who are forced to leave their homes. The wire alongside the so-called green border is complicating the refugee trail and is directing people to a much more demanding and difficult terrain. Resisting border regimes and police repression on their way to Europe, with always present risk of drowning, extortion and profiteering by human traffickers, detention, imprisonment, deportation, violence, and death, people in migration are forced, already exhausted by months-long walk, to continue walking for miles, to wait for registration and fingerprinting for hours and sleep at night in the cold and the rain, literally …read more

LJUBLJANA CALLING! Solidarity action for situation of refugees in Slovenia

Call for international meeting, manifestation and solidarity action in Slovenia

For more than a week the so-called Balkan Route is passing through Slovenia. The Slovenian government intended to impose the entrance quota of 2500 refugees per day. The governments of the Balkan Route states do not want to accept any responsibility for the refugees and migrants, that is they do not want to accept and accommodate them for a longer period of time. Croatia answered by sending the refugees and migrants over the so-called “Green” border. This controversy between Slovenia and Croatia created dire humanitarian conditions for the refugees and migrants. The Slovenian government used this self-produced humanitarian emergency and what they call a chaotic situation on the Southern border to rapidly militarize the society and call for an EU summit on the Balkan Route.

The results of the Sunday summit are measures corresponding to EU policies, demolishing the movement of refugees and migrants. They decided on concrete measures to slow down the flux of refugees and migrants with the intention of establishing so-called hot spots in Greece and to designate Turkey as a buffer zone for refugees …read more

Moria / Lesbos: Rain-sodden feet, frozen white hands, hypothermic pregnant women and trampled down children

By momo

Trying to protect his baby / copyright: Salinia Stroux

The “Hot Spot” of horror is what Moria turned to the last week and since its inauguration when numbers of new arrivals were high and the weather conditions harsh with constant rain falls. The authorities together with the UNHCR and all other involved actors of the humanitarian aid regime failed in protecting hundreds of refugees from what was a predictable catastrophe.

Trying to protect his baby / copyright: Salinia Stroux

“Mummy, mummy…,” desperate voices of children cut the sound of the strong rain fall like knives on Friday night when the horror of Moria reached once more its peak. In the darkness around the Non-Syrian gate of Moria three children are standing in the mud and crying. The two sisters and one brother lost hold of their parents. “They told us to wait in the tent. Then they went to get the documents for us. We are 5 days waiting in the queue. Two days we are permanently wet. We are hungry. We freeze. Our parents left hours ago. Now it is dark. We are afraid in the tent alone.”
