Call Out to get LOUD, to change the social relations! | Refugee Struggle for Freedom _ munchen, 7th day at Sendlinger Tor

By freedomnotfrontex

Munich, 13th of September 2016

7th day at Sendlinger Tor

Asylum laws, Integration Law, racist activities and Co.

What is our reality and why we are at the Sendlinger Tor?

We are here to gain the right to stay, to be in the public eye, to talk with politicians, to get allies, so that we can act as a large mass, so as to change the laws on asylum.
In the past, we could change the legal situation with protests. So the protest marches from Würzburg to Berlin and from Würzburg and Bayreuth to Munich helped to loosen the laws concerning residence obligation (Residenzpflicht). But in the recent past, the asylum laws were tightened notably. Several asylum packages and the Integration Law complicated our lives again. The Integration Law of 6th August 2016 dictates to us, for example, according to the regular force to stay in camps, where we have to live. Despite temporary residence (Aufenthaltsgenehmigung) those paragraphs can determine, where we have to live.
The thightening of asylum law means, for example, that medical reasons are no longer recognized as obstacle of deportation. So deportations are possible even with life-threatening diseases, in case that the disease is not “significantly” impaired by this.

Invitation: MRIYR – Carnival and Conference 2017

carnival-megaphone-jpg

Please Spread the invitation!

Dear Friends,

MRIYR would like to invite our all supporters on 14th September to
plan our actions for the next year. We’ll meet at 7pm at Schaubühne
Cafeteria and then we’ll go to the meeting room. If you come late ask at
the Cafeteria. (*Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. Kurfürstendamm 153, 10709
Berlin)

In 2017 we want to organize a demonstration/Carnival & The International
Refugees and Migrants Conference (Which took place last february in
Hamburg). Both with the agenda to improve the living situation of
refugees and migrants.

On Wednesday 14th September we want to plan
1) the strategy to get our demands and
2) to plan/structure our actions for 2017

Living situation in Refugee Camps is getting worse. Private service
provider companies don’t care about anything and they deal the people in
many discriminative ways. In many of the Heims refugees don’t receive
money for the food because Heim service provides them food and companies
get paid for it. Many refugees suffer this situation and they are unable
to cook / eat what they want. Why people have to live in the Heims in
such a poor situation?
Why Refugee Camps don’t allow the media inside ? Which restrictions they
impose on Refugee who live in the Camps? Why they don’t give the
internet access to refugees and help …read more

Refugees occupy Sendlinger Tor Platz – Munich

By refugee movement journey to greece

10-9-weareone

Since Wednesday refugees have been occupying the Sendlinger Tor Platz in Munich and protest for the right to stay/ Bleiberecht.
This is their statement from yesterday:

“We Are One

During the day we counted 98 refugees! That means that 98 people without permission to stay (Bleiberecht) decided to be here despite racist insults and step into the public to fight for their rights. Let it be in the talks and discussion on the information desk or in the symbolic occupation itself. We as a group of refugees are the melting pot of oppressions. We are facing different forms of structural violence: We are refugees and therefore without basic human rights. We are women and therefore experience sexism. We are people who experience racism. We are humans who experience other forms of discrimination. Let it be because of our languages, because of disabilities, because of how we look or other factors. Together we declare the common fight against our individual problems. We are not victims. We are carrying anger and patience in us. The anger results from the different forms of oppression and violence. The patience results out of the knowledge, that we must fight for a long time to reach our goal.

Oury Jalloh – Das war Mord – Burnt in a police cell in Dessau, Germany

Discussion with Mr. X on his film ”Memoire of an Invisible Man” (We!R #?)

By freedomnotfrontex

14August16We!RMrXFoto

Mr. X and a fellow activist in discussion with We!R Radio about the film “Memoire of an Invisible Man”. The film tells the story of Mr. X, but his identity, and his face, are never revealed in it. Mr. X is a West-African asylum seeker living in Berlin without a work permit. As his exposure might put him in danger, he is the one holding the camera instead of appearing in front of it. Mr. X shoots the landscapes and people of Berlin to tell stories about the refugee camp in Italy, about his grandmother in West Africa, about his acquaintance with African drug dealers from Görlitzer Park, and about the relationship between him, his legal status and his camera.

Call out for big Non-Citizen meeting 6.-7. September 2016 in Munich

By admin

Non-Citizens, Refugees and Supporters

are invited to join us and become part of the movement!

The issue of refugee´s struggle was perhaps always injustice; We left out home countries because of having inhuman laws, injustice kingdom systems have broken the system for a common person life. Life is cheaper than anything, politics is business, religion is being used to make conflicts between people, cities or even countries in all around the world. Never the less we have so called “DEMOCRACY” but in reality it´s worse then dictatorship. Sometimes a person flees alone, sometimes with families, with companion. Sometimes because of political issues, because of religion or just for freedom. Because of these conflicts some die in their homelands. Some die on their way to secure countries. Some they never could achieve their destinations and when someone could finally arrive in advanced country than discrimination, restrictions and the lack of having basic human rights force them to suicide.

Never the less a process of injustice is failed to provide justice. So refugees have no access to justice and basic human rights. Even the asylumlaws differ according to the federal district, the city or the village they have to live and according to the …read more

Statement: Deportation is a crime. Italy and EU, stop deportations of Sudanese refugees now!

By palme43

demo sudan

Last Thursday, 25 August 2016, Italy has started sending migrants back to Sudan on special chartered flights, with 48 suadenes refugees already deported.
Sudanese and Italian authorities are working together to tackle the so-called migrant crisis. This deportation is clearly part of the cooperation between the Sudanese dictatorship regime and the EU, which was started a long time ago with “Khartoum process” http://www.aedh.eu/The-Khartoum-Process-a-new-step-in.html
And at the same time the whole world knows that President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir is wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity be the International Criminal Court (ICC) and is abusing human rights on all levels. Amnesty International says about the human rights situation in Sudan 2015/16: “The authorities repressed the media, civil society organisations and opposition political parties, severely curtailing freedoms of expression, association and assembly. Armed conflict in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile states continued to cause mass displacement and civilian casualties; human rights abuses were perpetrated by all parties to these conflicts. Government forces destroyed civilian buildings, including schools, hospitals and clinics in conflict areas, and obstructed humanitarian access to civilians needing support because of the ongoing hostilities.” (https://www.amnesty.org/en/countries/africa/sudan/report-sudan/) And after all that, we see that Italy and the EU are working …read more

Radio piece – Here is the story of great 150 people who passed 5 european borders – March For Freedom

By admin

Two years ago more than 150 people made a political march to pass european borders, asking for change in EU Asylum policies. They write:

We decided to organize a European caravan which will go from the largest number
of European countries towards Brussels (Belgium), where the European institutions
are settled. Showing that we don’t respect the borders they impose us, holding us
prisonners of the states borders and in the lagers, we will exercise our basic right of
freedom of movement and adress our demands directly where the decisions come
from.
We have a dream :
– Freedom of movement and of residence for all asylum seekers,
– Stop the Dublin trap and the obligatory residence in Lagers throughout Europe
– Permanent documents without criteria (not depending on working contracts
or individual state prosecution)
– Stop the imprisonment and deportation of migrants
– Same working conditions for all
– Same political, social and cultural rights for all: right to study and to work
– Stop the European imperialist policies: no more free trade treaties and NATO wars
– Abolish Frontex, Eurosur and other anti-migration policies and measures

This Newspaper Is Written by Refugees, for Refugees — Vice reports about “Daily Resistance”

By admin

One Berlin-based newspaper, however, wants to change how the migrant crisis is covered in print, and it’s doing so by giving the platform to the refugees themselves. In a letter from the editors, Daily Resistance explains it’s a publication that’s “fighting against a system of politicians, media, and capitalists that is based on dehumanizing laws that criminalize and instrumentalize people.” Rooted in political activism, the newspaper upholds and reiterates the demands of the refugee movement: abolish all lagers (refugee camps), end the German policy of residenzpflicht (which requires refugees to stay within certain boundaries), stop all deportations, and allow refugees to work and study. Articles are written by refugees situated in the camps, as well as by members from activist groups around Europe. The paper is eventually printed in different languages that cater to its readership, including Farsi, Arabic, Turkish, German, French, and English.

Beyond Voluntourism and Holidarity? White German Activists on the ‘Balkanroute’ – (Self)Reflections

By admin

Some of our friends who where active in the Balkan route and in the Greece last year has wrote a self-reflection about the German activists who travelled there. Mixing the words Volunteering and Turism and also Solidarity and Holiday we come to the terms Voluntourism and Holidarity. You can read their text in English and German in the blog:

https://ReflActionistCollective.noblogs.org

excerpt from the introduction:

1. Introduction: Man spricht Deutsch on the ‘Balkanroute’

Summary: Many activists from Germany started going to the ‚Balkanroute‘ during last summer to support migrants– it seemed like a new trend. After our own trips to the ‚Balkanroute‘, we wanted to reflect more about the connection between this kind of activism and our own privileges. On the one hand, direct signs of political solidarity with migrants1 seemed important. On the other hand, we realized that sometimes our presence and activities stabilized our privileges and the system of white supremacy.

Heading from Belgrade Eastwards to the Croatian border. Stopover in Adaševci, the gas station where most of the migrants are waiting for hours, before continuing their journey by train. While searching for a parking lot for our van, we recognize two other vans: German license plates, …read more

U.S. Sets Stage for Libya-Like Regime Change in Eritrea, “Africa’s Cuba”

By freedomnotfrontex

The U.S. is moving towards war against Eritrea, a fiercely independent African nation of only six million people. Washington has deployed its UN “human rights” proxies to justify another “humanitarian” military intervention, remarkably like the UN-sanctioned aggression against Libya, in 2011. The UN panel charges Eritrea with “enslaving” and murdering its own people – a pack of imperial lies. Obama is set to add another war to his bloody legacy.

“Eritrea’s fierce independence has put it in imperialism’s crosshairs.”

The United States is methodically setting the stage for a so-called “humanitarian” military intervention against the small northeast African nation of Eritrea, under legal pretexts much like those used to justify NATO’s war of regime change against Libya, in 2011. As in Libya, the U.S. has hijacked the United Nations human rights apparatus to claim a “responsibility to protect” (R2P) Eritrea’s citizens from alleged abuses by their own government. War and regime change are the intended result.

Washington engineered UN sanctions against Eritrea, beginning in 2009, on the patently bogus charge that Eritrea’s determinedly secular government provided “political, financial and logistical support” to Islamist Shabaab fighters in Somalia. Islamic jihadism is anathema to Eritrea, whose population of six million on the shores of …read more

This was my home: Statement from the solidarity squat Ορφανοτροφείο

Please help us spread the statement of people from the solidarity
squat Ορφανοτροφείο in regards to the eviction of our squat in
Thessaloniki last week. Police raided and evicted the house in the early
hours of Wednesday arrested the people and afterwards transported all
non-European comrades to a military camp 45 minutes outside of the city,
meanwhile 4 European comrades are faced with a trial tomorrow.

This was my home

This was home for me and my children And for thirty more families

our different opinions and beliefs. It was the real helping hand for
everyone. Freedom of speech and expression existed there in the full
sense of the term.

The main aim of this place was to bring together and unite all human
ideas and practices in order to serve the weak and the oppressed and
support the dispossessed. And just when we thought we were at last safe,
that we were in the right place, European governments that claim to
support justice and equality and not sectarianism and authoritarianism
and that allegedly stand for freedom and democracy decided that we don’t

Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh: Pressemitteilung vom 5.8.2016 – Feuerzeugrest war nicht in der Zelle Nr. 5!

By gepaecktragarz

Pressemitteilung vom 5. August 2016
