D E M O N S T R A T I O N on FRIDAY 2 september
FESTIVAL & C.O.N.F.E.R.E.N.C.E.
In the beginning of September 2016 WE ARE HERE is FOUR years old. WE ARE 4!
We will demonstrate on Friday the 2nd of September in a march from the Vluchtgemeente to the World Garden of the Protestant Diaconie, where it all started.
WE CAN’T GO (BACK) WIJ GAAN NIET WEG
The march starts at 10 a.m. from Pieter Calandlaan 1, to Vluchtelingenwerk on Surinameplein, through the Vondelpark, passing by the Vluchtkantoor, on Weteringschans, the IND Office on the Stadhouderskade, the residence of the Mayor on Herengracht, across the Skinny Bridge to the City Hall and we finish at the World Garden of the Diaconie.
WE ARE HERE organizes a cultural festival with speeches, stories, music, performance, dance, food and drinks and exposition of photo’s , art, film , etc. This will give moral support and positive energy to all refugees-on-the-street and show our gratitude to all people who helped us in the last four years.
In the Vluchtgemeente we will talk with everyone who has ideas about the future and is able to help realize these ideas. Where are we now? …read more
