We are O-Platz – Call for action to join the orga-team for the summer event 2023!

Oranienplatz has been a symbolic site for the refugee and migrant movement in Germany for more than 10 years now. The square has been the main site for ongoing protests, rallies and sit-ins, all aimed at drawing attention to the plight of people on the move seeking asylum in Germany. The significance of O-Platz for people on the move cannot be understated, as it has become a place of solidarity, resistance, and hope.

The district office of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg rejected all our demands to keep the space that we’ve occupied for over ten years as a political space for the movement. They refuse to answer us. We are done negotiating.

To not only confront them with our presence but also to unify all our movements and make all of us visible on O-Platz and everywhere, we are planning a summer event “We are O-Platz” – 16-20 June 2023 at Oranienplatz.

We plan four intense days of actions, speeches, music, exhibitions and panels, including a permanent info point.

For this purpose, we wish to invite all individuals and groups who share our political interest and/or history at O-Platz to become part of our orga-team for the summer event 2023! You are also most welcome to bring in your plans, programmes, and ideas for the event days – the event is a collective effort that relies on the work, solidarity, and creativity of many.

We will make our protest loud and visible, each person and collective according to their way and capacity.

#endjanjaweed​ – eine Kampagne von SudanUprising

Die #EndJanjaweed Kampagne ist eine Initiative der Berliner Aktivist*innengruppe SudanUprising Germany, die im Januar 2019 gegründet wurde, um die Ziele der sudanesischen Revolution und die Forderungen der Protestierenden nach Freiheit, Frieden und Gerechtigkeit zu unterstützen.

Das langfristige Ziel von #EndJanjaweed ist es, die unethische und unmoralische politische Unterstützung Deutschlands und der EU für Migrationskontrolle und externalisierte Grenzen im Sudan zu beenden, und damit auch die Mitschuld am Aufstieg der völkermordenden Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Miliz. Die RSF ist eine Janjaweed-Miliz. Das Wort “Janjaweed” stammt aus der Region Darfur im Westsudan und bezieht sich auf die Milizen, die von vielen in der Region der Kriegsverbrechen und des Völkermordes beschuldigt werden. Die RSF ist eine Umwandlung dieser Milizen; ihre Gründung wurde durch den Wunsch des ehemaligen sudanesischen Diktators Omar al-Bashir ausgelöst, seine Angriffskapazitäten nicht nur in Darfur, sondern auch in den Nuba-Bergen/Südkordofan, am Blauen Nil und schließlich gegen Demonstrant*innen und Gemeinden im ganzen Land, einschließlich der Hauptstadt Khartum, auszuweiten.

EU-Politik, angeführt von Deutschland, ist seit 2015 ein Schlüsselfaktor für die Verletzung der Rechte von Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen am Horn von Afrika. Die RSF, wurde damit beauftragt, Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen an den Grenzen abzufangen. Die RSF hat eine gut dokumentierte Bilanz von Übergriffen bei Aufstandsbekämpfungsoperationen in Darfur und anderen Konfliktgebieten und war maßgeblich an der gewaltsamen Niederschlagung von Demonstrant*innen am 3. Juni 2019 und den folgenden Tagen beteiligt. Mehr als 100 Demonstrant*innen wurden bei dem Massaker getötet, eine unbekannte Zahl wurde vergewaltigt. Die RSF bedroht nun den Übergang zur Demokratie im Sudan nach der Revolution von 2018-2019; ihr Anführer Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (“Hemedti”) ist stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Souveränen Rates und befindet sich als solcher in den höchsten Ebenen des Staates.

Von besonderer Bedeutung für diese Kampagne ist es, die deutsche und europäische Komplizenschaft mit der RSF aufzudecken und zu beenden, indem gezeigt wird, wie der Khartum-Prozess in der post-revolutionären Periode weitergeht und sich möglicherweise sogar ausweitet. Die deutsche und europäische Medienberichterstattung über den Sudan hat sich nur sehr langsam mit der Revolution und dem “Khartum-Prozess” befasst. Über die deutsche Mitschuld an der Diktatur wollte man wenig berichten, vielleicht aus Unkenntnis.

Workshop: Countering the state’s divisive tactics

Berlin

Join us for two days of discussions that aim to develop our understanding of tactics the state uses to disrupt social movements [21/01] and what we can do to repair trust, restore solidarity, and make our movements resilient against them [22/01].

Both events will start with input from a comrade who was part of the OPlatz occupation where tactics such as negotiations, the spreading of harmful rumors, and rhetoric about legitimacy were used by the state to weaken the movement. Afterwards, we plan to continue reflecting on these topics in break-out groups and an open assembly.

The events will take place at New Yorck im Bethanien and will start at 11:00. The input and discussions will be in English.

Die Bundesregierung plant bis Ende 2023 in insgesamt vier Gesetzespaketen ihre migrations- und flüchtlingspolitischen Versprechungen des Koalitionsvertrags von SPD, BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN und FDP umzusetzen. Am 6.7.2022 hat das Bundeskabinett das erste dieser sogenannten Migrationspakete beschlossen. Ein Gesetz soll den Zugang zum Bleiberecht für lange in Deutschland lebende geduldete Geflüchtete erleichtern und die Praxis der Kettenduldungen beenden. Aber, wenn der Gesetzentwurf der Bundesregierung so wie er jetzt ist verabschiedet wird, werden viele – genau wie bisher – keine Chance auf ein Aufentshaltsrecht haben.

Denn der Gesetzentwurf schließt Flüchtlinge wegen kleinster Straftaten, die bei anderen Bürger*innen noch nicht einmal in ein polizeiliches Führungszeugnis kämen, vom „Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht“ aus. Auch Flüchtlinge, denen die Behörden unterstellen, dass sie absichtlich keine Dokumente zur „Identitätsklärung“ besorgt haben, werden vom „Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht“ ausgeschlossen.

Und auch für Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene bleiben die Verbesserungen zu klein: Kinder bis 14 Jahren und ihre Familien bleiben weiterhin pauschal von den Bleiberechtsregelungen ausgeschlossen. Sie müssen weiter mit rechtlichen Teilhabehindernissen und der Angst vor einer Abschiebung leben. Aus den bisherigen Bleiberechtsregelungen geblieben sind auch die hohen Anforderungen an „Schulerfolg“, die die besondere Situation geflüchteter junger Menschen kaum berücksichtigen.

Echte Chancen sehen anders aus. Deshalb fordern wir von den Gesetzgeber*innen ein ECHTES CHANCEN-AUFENTHALTSRECHT FÜR ALLE und zwar JETZT!

Echte Chancen passen nicht zu diskriminierenden Ausschlussgründen.

Denn die Ausschlussgründe liefern Schutzsuchende der Behördenwillkür aus: An einigen Orten gelten Asylsuchende nur wegen des Verstoßes gegen die Passpflicht bereits als Straftäter*innen – an anderen Orten wird die Einreise ohne Pass weniger kriminalisiert.
Die Verknüpfung von Strafrecht mit Aufenthaltsrecht ist grundsätzlich diskriminierend und verstößt gegen Rechtsstaatsprinzipien. Während für deutsche Bürger*innen das Strafsystem einen neuen Anfang ermöglicht, werden bei Ausländer*innen kleinste und verjährte Straftaten aus der Ausländerakte nie gelöscht und können lebenslang aufenthaltsrechtliche Konsequenzen haben. So werden Migrant*innen und Asylsuchende immer mehrfach bestraft und kontrolliert.

  • Strafrecht und Ausländerrecht müssen grundsätzlich getrennt werden und die Kriminalisierung von Migration abgeschafft werden. Auch die Überwachung von Migrant*innen (§87 AufenthaltsG) muss abgeschafft werden.

Echte Chancen dürfen nicht vom Pass oder anderen Dokumenten abhängen.

Die Ausländerbehörden gehen oft willkürlich mit der Frage um, ob jemand seine Identität ausreichend geklärt hat. Oft unterstellen sie, dass Schutzsuchende aus Angst vor der Abschiebung ihre Identität verschweigen, obwohl viele Asylsuchende einfach keine Dokumente besorgen können, die ihre Identität beweisen.

Im deutschen Aufenthaltsrecht gilt grundsätzlich: Papiere sind wichtiger als Menschen. Mit diesem Prinzip blockieren die Behörden den Familiennachzug, verhindern Ehen und Partnerschaften, verschleppen die Aufnahme von afghanischen Ortskräften und trennen Familien durch Abschiebungen. Diese Pflicht Dokumente einzureichen, die den hohen Anforderungen der deutschen Behörden genügen, nimmt vielen Menschen ihre Lebenschancen. Und oft nicht nur ihnen sondern auch ihren Familien, die auf ihre Unterstützung warten.

  • Die Anforderungen an Dokumente müssen an die Realitäten von Flucht angepasst werden.

Echte Chancen sind keine Falle.

Laut Gesetzentwurf sind alle Schutzsuchenden, die es nicht schaffen innerhalb von einem Jahr alle Anforderungen für eine dauerhafte Aufenthaltserlaubnis zu erfüllen, mehr als zuvor von Abschiebung bedroht. Denn nun haben sie den Ausländerbehörden Dokumente zu ihrer „Identitätsklärung“ gegeben, die für ihre Abschiebung benutzt werden können.

  • Abschiebungen sind Menschenrechtsverletzungen und müssen abgeschafft werden.

Echte Chancen müssen realisierbar sein.

Das Leben mit Duldung bedeutet jahrelange Ausgrenzung, oft erzwungene Untätigkeit und Perspektivlosigkeit. Das hinterlässt psychologische Spuren. Wie sollen Geduldete nun innerhalb von 12 Monaten eine Arbeit finden und Deutsch lernen?

  • Ein „Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht“ soll für drei Jahre erteilt werden, um genug Zeit bereitzustellen sich neue Perspektiven zu erarbeiten.
  • Außerdem müssen alle Geduldeten umfassend von den Behörden über ihre Möglichkeiten informiert werden und es soll flächendeckend staatlich finanzierte unabhängige Beratung angeboten werden.
  • Grundsätzlich müssen Bleiberechtsregelungen weg von der Vorstellung einer „guten Integration“. Sie ist zu eng für eine inklusive und pluralistische Gesellschaft. Die Arten, in dieser Gesellschaft anzukommen, sich zu engagieren und einzubringen sind so vielfältig wie die Menschen, die hier leben. Die Möglichkeit zur Teilhabe und Mitbestimmung in einer Gesellschaft darf nicht allein von Leistung abhängig gemacht werden. Die Trennung von Migrat*innen und dem Zweck der Migration soll aufgehoben werden. Alle Aufenthaltstitel sollen für jeden Menschen zugänglich sein.

Echte Chancen ermöglichen Teilhabe, statt sie zu verhindern.

Während die Chance auf einen gesicherten Aufenthalt davon abhängt, ob geflüchtete Menschen Arbeit oder eine Ausbildung finden, wird vielen Menschen genau das in Deutschland verboten. Die Bundesregierung hat im Koalitionsvertrag versprochen, die Arbeits- und Ausbildungsverbote abzuschaffen – im aktuellen Gesetzentwurf ist dazu aber nichts zu finden. So machen die Gesetze Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft und damit eine sogenannte „Integration“ unmöglich.

  • Wir brauchen Arbeits- und Ausbildungserlaubnisse für alle.

Echte Chancen müssen auch für die Familien gelten.

Jahrelange Wartezeiten auf Termine bei den deutschen Botschaften und auf die Bearbeitung von Visumanträgen für den Familiennachzug, das Festhalten an der A1 Sprachprüfung, Forderungen nach Dokumenten, die schwer oder gar nicht zu beschaffen sind… Die deutschen Botschaften blockieren Familienzusammenführungen, auch wenn theoretisch ein Rechtsanspruch besteht.

  • Die Bariere der A 1 Prüfung im Ausland muss endlich abgeschafft werden. Außerdem brauchen wir unbürokratische und schnelle Online-Visaverfahren, die Anerkennung alternativer Nachweise der Familienzusammengehörigkeit und einen über die Kernfamilie hinausgehenden Familienbegriff.

Echte Chancen sind bedingungslos.

Wir wollen ein stichtagsunabhängiges „Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht“ für alle, die bereits in Deutschland leben, auch für diejenigen, die vor Jahren aus Angst vor Abschiebung untergetaucht sind oder aus anderen Gründen illegalisiert leben. Denn sie alle leben und arbeiten in Deutschland und ihre Situation ohne Papiere macht sie ausbeutbar und verletzlich.

Wir sind ein neu gegründetes Netzwerk von (flüchtlings-)politischen Initiativen, Gruppen, Organisationen,Vereinen und Einzelpersonen, die sich in antirassistischen Aktionen in Berlin und Brandenburg kennengelernt haben.

Wir greifen den Begriff „Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht“ der Bundesregierung auf und informieren Gesetzgeber*innen und die Öffentlichkeit darüber, was wir aus der Perspektiven von Betroffenen, von Fachorganisationen und solidarischen (flüchtlings-)politischen Initiativen unter echten Chancen verstehen. Außerdem wollen wir auch die weiteren Migrationspakete der Bundesregierung kritisch kommentieren. Wir entwickeln unsere Positionen und Forderungen geminsam im Netzwerk weiter und werden damit auf die jeweiligen Gesetzentwürfe reagieren.

International Women* Space is pleased to share with you Angela Davis’ speech at Oranienplatz during the arts and culture festival “O-Platz wird 10 – Baustelle Migration” commemorating 10 years of refugee and migrant occupations of O-Platz and the Gerhart-Hauptmann Schule in Berlin Kreuzberg.

Angela Davis is a political activist, philosopher, academic, scholar, author and above all a revolutionary! When we thought about how we would like to mark the 10 years anniversary of the occupation of O-Platz and the start of our movement, we had the courage to dream of having Angela speak to us, many of us at O-Platz. And because dreaming is free, we went ahead and asked her, and, to our joy, she accepted our invitation.

The speech documented in this video is a lesson on the vestiges of colonialism and enslavement, and a reminder of women*’s power and leadership in struggles around the world. It is a speech about hope and our role as activists in transmitting hope, and it is also a speech about about freedom.

As Angela Davis says, remembering the song “Freedom is a constant struggle”, which is a freedom song that was repeatedly sung in the southern United States during the twentieth century freedom movement.

Wir werden die Pressekonferenz in Kooperation mit dem Community Radiosender Refugee Worldwide und Radio Berlin International streamen, sodass alle – wenn auch nicht direkt vor Ort – teilnehmen können.

There will be panels, concerts, photo exhibitions, art performances, a zine workshop and much more! Angela Davis will also be coming to support our local struggles. Die (aktuellen) politischen und sozialen Entwicklungen weltweit zeigen, dass es wichtiger denn je ist unter- und miteinander solidarisch zu sein  Doch was bedeutet Solidarität eigentlich und wie können wir diese in den verschiedensten Bereichen wirklich leben? Darüber und das, was euch zu dem Thema beschäftigt, wollen wir uns austauschen und unsere Gedanken in Form von Poetry/kreativem Schreiben festhalten.

Emilene Wopana Mudimu (Instagram: back_is_excellence) ist Sozialpädagogin., Bildungsreferentin, Spoken Word Künstlerin und Moderatorin aus Aachen. Sie leitet das soziokulturelle Jugend- und Medienzentrum KingzCorner (kingzcorner_aachen), wo sie Hip-Hop bezogene kunst- und medienpädagogische Angebote/Projekte initiiert. Seit 2012 ist Emilene Wopana Mudimu in der rassismuskritischen und diskriminierungssensiblen Arbeit tätig. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte: Afro Hair Politics, Dekonstruktion westlicher Schönheitsideale und Politisierung Schwarzer Körper, Colorism, Empowerment-Arbeit mit BI*PoC und Antira-Sensibilisierungstrainings. Mudimu ist eine von 20 Mitautor*innen des Sammelbands “Schwarz wird großgeschrieben”, der im September 2021 im &Töchter Verlag veröffentlicht wurde.

FRIEDENSSTATUE MUSS BLEIBEN

„Die Friedensstatue muss bleiben – gegen koloniale Unterdrückung und andauernde Versuche, uns zum Schweigen zu bringen!“ Ständige Bemühungen der japanischen Botschaft um die Beseitigung der Friedensstatue in Moabit üben Druck auf die deutschen Behörden aus. Obwohl die BVV (Bezirksverordnetenversammlung) am 1. Dezember 2020 und am 18.3. 2021 von dem Bezirksamt den dauerhaften Erhalt der Friedensstatue auffordert, ignoriert das Bezirksamt dies und betreibt den Täterschutz. Die Friedensstatue ist nun von der Entfernung bedroht. Das dürfen wir nicht zulassen! 

Die Friedensstatue muss bleiben, damit sexuelle Gewalt im Kontext von Kolonialismus nicht weiter zu Gunsten der Täter unter den Teppich gekehrt wird! Um dies zu erreichen, wollen wir mit der Kampagne zum Erhalt der Friedensstatue Unterschriften aus unserer Kommune Berlins sammeln. Unsere Position aus Deutschland heraus darf kein gewaltsames Verschweigen reproduzieren!

Chico César’s musical style is a fusion of different elements of Música Popular Brasileiras: ranging between funk, reggae, Afro-Brazilian rhythms and Caribbean colourings, he incorporates clever and humorous lyrics. In addition to his sold-out concert at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, he will play the only concert in Berlin with us at O-Platz. Chico César will be accompanied by bassist Ana Karina Sebastião, the guitarist Rodrigo Viana, Julien Agazar on the keys and Simone Sou on the drums. See you there!

AMEWU

“Liebst du Geld/ Bist du ein Mensch?” is the first question on Amewu’s new album, which translates to “do you love money/are you human?”. Amewu, a Berlin native rapper, has been considered one of Germany’s best and most talented (live) MCs since his debut album “Entwicklungshilfe” – an acclaim he confirmed with “Leidkultur” in 2012. It took ten years until Amewu returns with “Haben und Sein”. Rap, grime, trip-hop, and his quick use of words clarify: There is something at stake here. Amewu speaks about limitless growth and how it affects us, the climate crisis, colonialism, and racism and how all these things are present in our everyday lives. He raps against inequality. “Too many rappers speak too much but think too little,” he raps. He on the other hand thinks a lot. Lucky for us, he speaks nonetheless.”

ANGELA DAVIS

Seven years ago, Angela Davis visited Berlin to speak to activists who occupied the O-Platz and Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule. In October 2022, she returns to celebrate our resistance and to continue to support our struggles. The status quo still clearly depicts a reality in which BIPoCs, that have fled are not granted the same rights due to racist structures. 

The last months have once again demonstrated that it is possible to bypass tedious bureaucratic processes and give people the protection they need. Why shouldn’t the same apply to BIPoC and/or Queer people who flee? Therefore, on the 10th anniversary of the occupation of O-Platz, we believe it is important to commemorate the resistance that emerged from the occupation that still resists today. To be heard, we must continue to raise awareness for our struggles loudly and publicly.

Vor 7 Jahren war Angela Davis bereits in Berlin, um mit Aktivist*innen des Refugee Resistance Movements zu sprechen. Am 06.10. kehrt sie zurück nach Berlin, um unseren Widerstand zu feiern und unsere Kämpfe weiterhin zu unterstützen. Auch weil der Status Quo zeigt, dass geflüchtete BIPoC aufgrund von rassistischen Strukturen nicht dieselben Rechte und Freiheiten gewährt werden.

Wir sehen: Es ist sehr wohl möglich, mühsame bürokratische Prozesse zu umgehen und Menschen den Schutz zu gewähren, den sie brauchen. Warum sollte selbiges nicht auch für BIPoC und/oder queere Menschen gelten, die flüchten?! Umso wichtiger ist es, am 10-jährigen Jubiläum der Besetzung des O-Platzes daran zu erinnern, dass der daraus entstandene Widerstand immer noch lebt und wir unsere Kämpfe weiterhin in die Öffentlichkeit tragen müssen, um gehört zu werden!

Ein Film über Empowerment, Feminismus und Solidarität. Das Patriarchat hat viele Gesichter und Widerstand dagegen gibt es in unzähligen Formen. Ausgehend von Berlin zeigt BODIES WE TAKE TO THE STREETS die Vielfalt internationaler feministischer Kämpfe und stellt gleichzeitig auch die Frage nach Gemeinsamkeiten. Wir begleiten Alicja zu den Protesten gegen das polnische Abtreibungsverbot, sprechen mit Anthea über reproduktive Gerechtigkeit für marginalisierte Menschen, tauchen mit Denise in die Geschichte einer feministischen Hausbesetzung geflüchteter Frauen ein und gemeinsam mit Valeria und Rosa gehen wir der Frage nach, was wir in Europa von der Frauenrevolution in Rojava lernen können. Wie ist Feminismus mit anderen Protesten gegen Rassismus und Ausbeutung verbunden? Verbindet uns mehr als der Glaube, dass diese Gesellschaft veränderbar ist?

Carmel Zoum is a dancehall singer and techno/dnb DJ, based in Berlin. A versatile Congolese/French artist flowing in French, English and Lingala, Carmel Zoum is a fiery force of nature on the mic, thrilling dancefloors worldwide with her groovy, beautiful melodies and hardcore Afro-dancehall vibes. She is mainly known as a dancehall artist, but also works hip-hop, electronic and drum ‘n bass producers. Her DJ sets combines techno, psytrance, and dnb tracks.

Muhammed Lamin Jadama

On his tour, Muhammed Lamin Jadama shows “his” Kreuzberg — from his perspective – that of a political activist, photographer, social worker and local. He explains how Görlitzer Park is connected to the European asylum system, what life is like, if you don’t have a residence status and how social workers try to support those who are affected. On the way, Muhammed introduces some of the many Kreuzberg initiatives and associations in which people with and without a history of migration shape their neighbourhood together.

MAMALIOR

Lior aka. mamalior creates feminist Tik Tok content for Missy Magazine. Besides being a content creator, she’s part of the DJ crew Femmebassmafia. Her creative work focuses on exposing racist and sexist structures in club culture. According to Lior, more people who think and act in an intersectional and critical way need to be pushed to the forefront, and the lack of representation of BIPoC FLINTA artists in club and music line-ups finally need to be tackled. After all, safer spaces for queer BIPoCs are always needed in the music scene.

MAYILA DANCE GROUP – « El otro lado »

« El otro lado » is an experimental choreographic project by Off-road Collective. This collaborative process explores the relationship between movement and political activism, through the dancers’ experiences navigating a racist, anti-migration and anti-refugee society.  Pulling from their own lived experiences and working with imagery from the O-Platz Refugee Resistance movement, the dancers create an environment that leads the viewer to question their surroundings as well as understand and empathise with the fight. Strong feelings of anger, sadness, fear, limitation are welcomed, but the idea of hope and belief in a systemic change are at the heart of the process.

The internationalist choir ‘Widerklang’ invites you to a public rehearsal at Oranienplatz on Saturday, 08.10. at 10 a.m. as part of ‘O-Platz wird 10 – Baustelle Migration’. We will meet at the memorial for the victims of racism and police violence.  We want to express our solidarity with the feminist uprisings and learn with as many people as possible the song ‘Sorude Barâbari’, which is currently echoing through the streets of Iran and accompanies the courageous protest of women, LGBTQIA+, youth and other exploited and oppressed people. The song originates from Iran’s feminist movement and calls for the fall of patriarchy for a liberated society. Afterwards, we want to record the song as a video and distribute it as widely as possible as a sign of solidarity to support the call for a general strike. Come in large numbers even if you are not experienced singers! Here you can listen to the song.

El colectivo Mawvn invita al juicio del genocida Cristóbal Colón. La colonización iniciada un 12 de octubre significó esclavización, genocidio, despojo y sus consecuencias siguen siendo hasta en dia de hoy poderosas. Pero ese mismo dia inició también la resistencia. La intervención dura Max 20 minutos y será en castellano e inglés.

Quienes somos Mawvn?Somos una autoorganización antirracista y realizamos un trabajo de difusión y acciones de protesta desde la diáspora indígena para visibilizar la lucha anticolonial de liberación del movimiento mapuche tanto en lo que hoy se llama Chile y Argentina.

The Mawvn collective invites to the trial of the genocidal Christopher Columbus. The colonization that began on October 12 meant enslavement, genocide, dispossession and its consequences are still powerful today. But that same day also began the resistance. The intervention lasts Max 20 minutes and will be in Spanish and English.

Who are we Mawvn? We are an anti-racist self-organization and we carry out a work of diffusion and protest actions from the indigenous diaspora to make visible the anti-colonial struggle of liberation of the Mapuche movement in what is now called Chile and Argentina.

SISTA OLORUNTOYIN

Sista Oloruntoyin and Brother Mwayemudza, will be inviting members of ARRiVATi, Schwabinggrad Ballett and Africans From Ukraine, to come together in a presentation of reflective moments of the struggles of refugees in Germany and especially in Berlin, which culminated in 2012 with the Protest Camp Occupation of Oranienplatz. While drawing attention to some contradictions, absurdities and (temporary) failures in this struggle, speeches, music and video will be combined into a performance.

Lxs Perrxs del futuro is a collective of perras that believes in the power of movement. They stand and act against the systems of domination, colonial expropiaton, war and death by mobilizing their struggle into public spaces through the beat of perreo. Join us for a panel to learn about the violences of the EU border regime and ongoing activist resistance that demands the freedom of movement for all. Featured moderators and speakers will represent Schlafplatzorga, No Border Assembly, Alarmphone, Abolish Frontex, Solidarity with Refugees in Libya, Wearebornfree Empowerment Radio, Iuventus Crew, Casa Kuà, and more. Topics we will speak about include:

  • How is the EU militarizing and externalizing its borders?
  • How are key forms of solidarity, such as sea rescue missions, criminalized?

Yesterday morning, 1 October, the 10th issue of “Daily Resistance” was sent to our printer! It’s a special #OplatzTurns10 issue and bigger than usual, devoted to the Refugee Movement from O-Platz/Ohlauer and all movements around the world. Get your copies by writing a mail to dailyresistance(at)systemli(dot)org – and spread them afterwards, so many people can read it!

The issue consists of several multi-lingual articles, but especially focuses on two larger interviews by the editorial team of ‘Daily Resistance’. Firstly, we spoke about the 10th anniversary of the O-Platz occupation with activists* who were part of the protest camp and Ohlauer school and who reflect on the time, its forthcomings, their current and future activism. Since it’s also the 10th issue (the first one was delivered in March 2016) of ‘Daily Resistance’, we brought together old and new comrades who shaped the newspaper and talked about the beginnings, the importance of own media for the Refugee Movement, collaborations, and plans.

Next to that, there will be multilingual articles and interviews on ongoing wars and conflicts in Ukraine and Iran, reflections about perpetuating colonial injustice by The Voice Refugee Forum, a speech by International Women* Space held at the 30 years commemoration demo of the nazi attacks in Rostock-Lichtenhagen – and two more personal stances on the importance of critical self-reflection in anti-racist activism from 2012 till today. OPLATZBOX is a mobile archive dedicated to the feminist struggle in the Refugee Resistance Movement with a focus on testimonies and visions of women* and queers from Black, Indigenous, migrant and People of Colour communities. Showcasing films, podcasts, publications and ephemera gathered and produced by International Women* Space / IWS across 10 years as well as art works, performances, radio programs, poetry, music and talks OPLATZBOX is a temporary education centre of migrant anticolonial knowledges open to all over a period 5 days.

A monument to the resistance and worldmaking of Black women that shaped the fabric of the Refugee Movement and its enduring legacy, OPLATZBOX is part of the arts and culture festival “Oplatz wird 10 – Baustelle Migration”. Ten years after the beginning of the occupation of Oranienplatz square, the festival organized by IWS celebrates the empowerment histories of the Refugee Resistance Movement in Berlin and makes proposals for a diverse, postcolonial, grassroots democratic, and postmigrant society.

International Women Space was founded as a radical feminist wing of the Refugee Resistance Movement in Berlin, which emerged from the protest occupation of Oranienplatz square in Kreuzberg in 2012. From the beginning, the self-organized making of culture based on the lives, struggles, histories and visions of migrant women, dykes, intersex, non-binary and trans people has been an important focus in the work of IWS.

“Women who had become refugees in their own regions before attempting to reach Europe through the deadly routes available. Women* fleeing war, poverty, environmental disaster caused by corporation’s greed, women* feeling persecution for not conforming to the gender they were assigned at birth. … we needed to speak to each other to understand the paradox of seeking protection in one of the western countries, knowing the roles they play in destabilizing our regions, through wars and neo-colonialism. IWS propose that listening to one another and creating records of survival in the face of violence, erasure, death and deportation are the base for creating strategies for a common struggle, for working on transformation together. A grassroots archive of resilience, achievement and loss, OPLATZBOX amplifies this Black, migrant, queer feminist take on decolonization put into practice through feminist self-organising.

Addressing the violent repercussions of colonialism, the dangerous migration routes, the fortressed borders to Europe, the realities of deeply engrained structural racism in Germany, the testimonies and reflections document migration as a political movement. A feminist anti-racist, anticolonial movement that connects a multiplicity of BIPOC and migrant histories and struggles in and beyond Germany.

Der Dokumentarfilm ‘15 YIL‘, portraitiert die unrechtmäßige Verhaftung des Aktivisten, Schriftstellers und Journalisten Turgay Ulu. Dem damals 23-Jährigen wird untergeschoben, dass er bei der bewaffneten  Befreiung eines politischen Gefangenen beteiligt gewesen sein soll. 15 Jahre verbringt er ohne Gerichtsbeschluss in Untersuchungshaft in der Türkei. Doch Turgay ein politischer Aktivist und überzeugter Marxist, nimmt auch im Gefängnis an Widerstandspraktiken teil, die sich vor allem gegen die gewaltvolle Einführung der Isolationshaft richtet. ‘15 YIL’ ist ein Film voller Mut, Liebe und Solidarität.

The documentary ’15 YIL’ (52′, TR&DE 2020) portrays the illegal arrest of the activist, writer and journalist Turgay Ulu. The then 23-year-old is accused of having participated in the armed liberation of a political prisoner. He spends 15 years in custody in Turkey without a court order. But Turgay, a political activist and convinced Marxist, also participated in resistance practices in prison, which were directed primarily against the violent introduction of solitary confinement. 15 YIL’ is a film full of courage, love and solidarity.

Residenzpflicht, 2012

Der 67-minütige Film von Denise Garcia Bergt “Residenzpflicht” (2012) zeigt die Lebensrealität der Geflüchtete und ihren langjährigen Widerstand: Die Protagonist_innen kämpfen in den letzten Jahren in selbstorganisierten Initiativen gegen die Residenzpflicht und fordern deren Abschaffung. Sie protestieren gegen die erzwungene Isolation und fordern ihr Menschenrecht auf Bewegungsfreiheit. Der Film zeigt die Auswirkungen des europäischen Grenzregimes nach außen (Frontex) und “im Inneren” (deutsches Verteilungssystem auf Asylunterkünfte / Begrenzung der Bewegungsfreiheit) und sieht deren Ursachen im kolonialen Erbe und im Alltagsrassismus in Deutschland.

Following a long tradition of refugee struggles against the violation of our human rights, we set up the Refugee Protestcamp at Oranienplatz, Berlin on the 6th of October. It‘s there, we are keeping our resistance on the streets since one year and we are still keeping our struggle on the streets and we will stay until our demands are met! We ask all of you, refugees and asylum- seekers, around Germany to break the isolation and to break the silence and join your brothers and sisters to the Protestcamp at Oranienplatz to take what is our right. To exchange experiences, put aside our common fears and start fighting together, we are heading for a ‚Refugee Revolution Bus Tour‘ which will start on the 26th of February from Oranienplatz, Berlin. For three weeks we will visit Lagers in different federal states of Germany in order to spread information about the protest and invite all of you, the refugees and asylum- seekers, to gather in Berlin for the big demonstration on 23rd of March. “You Can’t Evict a Movement!” Excerpt from the Rise of the Refugee Movement in Germany (2012-2014) to the Practice of Squatting. Colectivo Hinundzurück, Germany, Berlin-Kreuzberg

The rise of these refugee-movements consequently lead to greater self-organizing with sigificant outputs, including several congresses and conferences that were orgainized by refugees throughout 2012-2014: The “Refugee Struggle Congress“ in München in March 2013 with 300 participants, the first “Refugee-Women’s-Conference” in Hamburg in April 20131, and the “Refugee Tribunal Against Germany“ in Berlin in June 2013, organized by activists of the “Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants” and “The Voice Refugee Forum Germany“. Meanwhile, 500 refugees from all over Germany and more than 100 people in total attended the “International Tribunal Against Germany”.2
Further, activities and protets continued from February 26th to March 20th 2013, when refugees organized the “Refugees Revolution Bus Tour“ through 22 cities in Germany to visit refugees in their Lagers and to carry out protest-actions.

But possibly the most significant struggle of refugees was witnessed during the summer 2014, when some 50 refugees on the roof and inside the building of the squatted Refugee Strike House (the former school Gerhardt-Hauptmann), resisted a siege and eviction attempt by police who had deployed daily some 500 officers for nine days. The situation ended finally with an agreement between the refugees and the district council of Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain.1

On June 24th, 2014 at 10 am in the morning, some 900 police officiers went massively to the squatted school, blocked various important streets of the neighbourhood and prevented public access to the adjoining streets of the refugee strike house. With the police were also members of the district council, which is governed by the Greens (Die Grünen)2, with the intention of evicting and completely vacating the building.

The district had always spoken about a “voluntary moving (move/relocation)” of the squatters of the school, in which the occupants would be transfered and relocated to refugee homes outside of the city, because officialy an order of eviction did not exist. But nevertheless, due to the high pressure and the threat of an eviction, 208 inhabitants did agree to the move. Nevertheless, around 50 refugees and some activists remained on the roof of the building, resisting the eviction and demanding a permit of permanent residency for themselves and for all of the refugees in Germany; to maintain the occupied school for themselves as an autonomous, self-managed place, and for living, permission to work, no accomodations in Heim or Lager, the abolition of the Rezidenzpflicht and finally, for an end to the deportation policy. Some refugees threatened publically to jump from the roof if the police tried to enter the school or to evict them. From that moment on the siege of the police began, which as was stated, lasted for nine days. Meanhile, inside the police cordon, thousands of inhabitants were living in the streets – when ever leaving or coming to their homes, having to identify themselvs to the officers stationed at the barriers/fencing off.

The local shops, bars and bakeries were forced to close since there was no possible public access to their facilities. The kindergardens closed a well on the fifth day of the siege since the parents did not want to send their children through such a situation. On the other side of the police cordon, activists in solidarity with the refugees established an information center with music, an open microphone, a peoples’ kitchen, and an open-air cinema with footage of the refugee protests. Day and night, for 242 hours in total, thousands of people passed by offering a diverse and daily display of increasing solidarity.

10 years of the protest camp at Oranienplatz … No reason to celebrate

I don’t want our history to be falsified: When you commemorate the protest camp on Oranienplatz, which started in October 2012, remember correctly!


Remember Mohammad Rahsepar! At the end of January 2012, Mohammad Rahsepar took his own life at a refugee camp in Würzburg. He had already expressed suicidal thoughts in December. Therefore, doctors had recommended to the responsible authorities to improve his accommodation situation. He wanted to join his sister in Cologne, but the authorities refused this because of “Residenzpflicht” – obligation of a residencefor asylum seekers. His death triggered a wave of protests throughout Germany.

His friends and housemates set up a protest camp on the street to draw attention to their situation: Camp accommodation, the voucher system, Residenzpflicht, the ban on employment and constant uncertainty. Their protest quickly spread to many cities all over Germany. Here in Berlin there was also a protest tent on Heinrichplatz.

Remember the ‘Residenzpflicht’! The ‘Residenzpflicht’ does not exist in any other European country. Its origins go back to the colonial times. The National Socialists made residence obligation in a law for forced labourers in their police regulation of 1938. In 1982, the legislators revived the regulation again and integrated it in the ‘Asylverfahrensgesetz’ (Asylum Procedure Act) for asylum seekers. Until the end of 2014, all asylum seekers had to get a permission from the immigration authorities every time they wanted to leave their district. Sometimes they got permission, most of the time they did not.

At the end of the 90s, the authorities used the residence obligation to prevent asylum seekers from engaging in political activities. For every demonstration, every congress or meeting, we had to find a way to deal with controls. At the end of 2014, the residence obligation was relaxed for some of the asylum seekers. After the first three months in Germany, it is now allowed to travel in the whole Germany without a specific permit. At least in theory. Because there are numerous reasons for exclusion from this supposed “freedom of movement”. Refugees with ‘Duldung’, in particular, remain subject to arbitrariness of the authorities. The immigration authorities can chain them to the district at any time.

By the way, the first demonstration against Residenzpflicht was in 2000, organised by the ‚Karawane für die Rechte von Flüchtlingen und Migrantinnen‘ (Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants). Since then, many refugee self-organisations, for example the Voice Refugee Forum or the ‘Flüchtlingsinitiative Brandenburg‘ (Refugee Initiative Brandenburg), have fought against the Residenzpflicht. Those who talk about the protest camp at Oranienplatz without mentioning the other protest actions of refugees in 2012 and the past of our struggles are not showing solidarity but are rather ignoring us.

Remember the Refugee Protest March! In September 2012, a group of refugees started the REFUGEE PROTEST MARCH from Würzburg to Berlin. They protested against the ‘Residenzpflicht’ and took their protest to the political leaders in Berlin. On October 5th 2012 – after one month and 600 km of walking they reached their destination. A group of activists in Berlin supported the protest march by organising a camp at Oranienplatz as a place for arrival. The camp was planned for some weeks in order to organize a big final demonstration and to plan further actions. None of us planned a protest camp that would last over a year.

Remember correctly! Oranienplatz was never occupied. Again and again there were negotiations with the district mayors that led to the Oranienplatz remaining tolerated. Those who claim that Oranienplatz was occupied are ignoring our work, the work of the activists who prepared the camp and who negotiated for years.

Many people from all over Germany came to the demonstration at the end of the protest march on October 13th 2012. It got really big. After that, there were different approaches to further actions: While one group started a hunger strike on Pariser Platz, others stayed on Oranienplatz and used it as a starting point for different actions.

In the winter of 2012, refugees from Italy joined. For them the protest camp was primarily a place of survival. They fled homelessness, hunger and a lack of prospects in Italy to Berlin. That is how Oranienplatz became a symbol for the inhumanity and cruelty of the German and the EU asylum policy. Unfortunately, we have only managed to link the different groups and interests of the refugees at Oranienplatz in single actions. The asylum system has divided us. And there were also power struggles and divisions among the supporters.

Remember correctly! Oranienplatz was not evicted by the police. It was refugees who cleared the tents of other refugees. The Senate – also with the help of so-called supporters – managed to divide the refugees at Oranienplatz.

Let’s learn from the old mistakes instead of repeating them. Governments and parliaments are dividing us with their racist migration policies. We have to oppose this and grow even closer together.

And finally: Remember that until today some refugees who were at Oranienplatz back then still don’t have residence permits! As long as that is the case, there is no reason for me to celebrate.

The federal government aims to implement its migration and refugee policy promises in the coalition agreement of the SPD, A BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN and the FDP in a total of four legislative packages by the end of 2023. On 6 July 2022, the cabinet adopted the first of these so-called migration packages. They promise to stand for an improved migration and refugee policy, using terms that sound good such as “opportunities”, “participation” or “respect”. However, these buzzwords do not correspond at all to the real situation and are also not provided for in practice in the planned migration laws. The coalition is further sticking to the previous principles of migration and refugee policy that are characterised by “security concerns”, “burden on the social system”, criminalisation, isolation, racist discrimination, disenfranchisement, dozens of hurdles for the granting of residence rights, readiness to take in refugees  only if there is political and economic benefit, etc.

We think opportunities, participation and respect look different. That is why we demand from the legislators a right to stay for all instead of an opportunity trap!

At the information event, we would like to take a closer look at the trickily formulated draft laws. We would like to get a better overview of the practical effects of the planned changes for migrants and refugees in Germany and present our campaign. 

We hope for a broad, supra-regional cooperation with refugee organisations and supporters!

• The event is in German. Whispered translation into English, French and Turkish will be provided on site. We will also try to offer other languages.

• In view of the increasing numbers of covid-19, we would like all participants to wear a medical or FFP2 mask on site.

On 07 October 2022 at 16:00 we also want to protest together against the migration packages in front of the Bundestag to send a strong signal for real opportunities!

Berlin, den 23.09.2022 – Der Verein International Women* Space e. V. lädt ein, die 10-jährige Selbstermächtigungsgeschichte geflüchteter Menschen zu feiern, die in der Besetzung des Oranienplatzes und später dann auch der Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule in der Ohlauer Straße ihren Höhepunkt fand. Anlässlich dieses Jubiläums wollen wir uns vom 5.10. – 9.10.2022 auf dem Oranienplatz versammeln und die Geschichte des Refugee-Resistance-Movements feiern. 

Mit einer fünftägigen Open-Air-Kunstbaustelle zeigen wir die Geschichte des Refugee-Resistance-Movements und die Facetten der Kämpfe, die auf und um den Oranienplatz geführt wurden. Menschen, die damals wie heute in der Bewegung aktiv sind, werden ein künstlerisches Festivalprogramm gestalten und ihre politischen Forderungen zentrieren.

Im Rahmen des Festivals der International Women Space e. V. wird die Schwarze Aktivistin und Bürgerrechtlerin Angela Davis am 06.10.2022 um 10 Uhr am Oranienplatz gemeinsam mit Aktivistin Napuli Langa und IWS Mitgründerin Jennifer Kamau eine Pressekonferenz zum Thema rassistischer Umgang mit BiPoC Geflüchteten abhalten. Zehn Jahre nach dem Beginn der Besetzung des O-Platzes wollen wir nicht nur unsere Geschichte feiern, sondern auch einen Vorschlag für eine Gesellschaft unterbreiten, die sich als vielfältig, postkolonial, basisdemokratisch und postmigrantisch versteht.

auf dem Oranienplatz versammeln und die Geschichte der rebellischen Geflüchteten-Bewegung
feiern.

O-Platz turns 10 – Migration construction site (05.10.-09.10.22)

10 years ago the Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg and later also the Gerhart-Hauptmann School in
Ohlauer Straße were occupied. To mark this anniversary, we want to gather at Oranienplatz from
5/10 – 9/10 and celebrate the history of the rebellious refugee movement.


With a five-day open-air art “construction site”, we will show the history of the Refugee Resistance
Movement and the many facets of the struggles on and around O-Platz.
People who were active in the movement then and now and were present on O-Platz are creating a
programme with theatre, graphics, painting, literature, photography and film, in which we trace the
stages of the resistance in a variety of artistic ways: From the long march to Berlin to the shameful
eviction of the camp by the Berlin Senate and the district.


Ten years after the beginning of the occupation of O-Platz, however, we not only want to celebrate
our history, but also make a proposal for a society that sees itself as diverse, postcolonial, grassroots
democratic and postmigrant.


Our resistance is alive. O-Platz is alive.

Warum?

Im Jahr 2022 jährt sich zum 10. Male die ursprüngliche Besetzung des Oranienplatzes durch Geflüchtete im Jahr 2012, bei der Hunderte von Menschen Protestzelte aufstellten, um sich Gehör und Sichtbarkeit zu verschaffen.

Trotz der erzwungenen Räumung im Jahr 2014 lebt die OPlatz-Besetzung weiter, und viele Aktivist*innen setzen ihre Kämpfe und ihren Widerstand bis zum heutigen Tag fort.

In diesem Jahr, nach Russlands Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine, schließen sich Drittstaatsangehörige und Staatenlose, die aus der Ukraine nach Deutschland geflohen sind, der Bewegung von Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen an.

Sie fordern dringend gleiche Rechte und Schutznach Artikel 24 – das Recht zu studieren, zu arbeiten, und sich in Deutschland aufzuhalten – vor der sich abzeichnenden Frist, bis zum 31. August 2022 bis zu der sie lediglich legal in Deutschland bleiben dürfen.

Deshalb verbinden sich laufende und neue Kämpfe von Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen zu einer gemeinsamen Stimme, um Gerechtigkeit zu fordern!

Chcemy wyrazić solidarność ze wszystkimi osadzonymi w ośrodkach koncentracyjnych. Nie zapomnimy o nich, mimo że władza próbuje zrobić wszystko, by wymazać ich istnienie z publicznej świadomości.

Domagamy się:

  • zaprzestania traktowania osób z doświadczeniem migracji jak przestępców;
  • likwidacji ośrodków koncentracyjnych;
  • przyjęcie przez Unię Europejską i Polskę wszystkich osób, które chcą pozostać na jej terytorium;
  • wstrzymanie deportacji, ze szczególnym naciskiem na deportacje do krajów, gdzie ludzie narażeni są na utratę życia i zdrowia;
  • wdrożenie programów umożliwiających adaptację w nowych krajach;
  • wspólnego stworzenia nowej polityki i całkowitej zmiana systemu, który nie jest dostosowany do wyzwań obecnego świata, takich jak np globalne ocieplenie i związane z nim konsekwencje;
  • wstrzymania budowy muru na granicy polsko-białoruskiej, wymierzonego bezpośrednio w osoby migrujące oraz przynoszącego bezpowrotne zniszczenie Puszczy Białowieskiej.

Migrowanie nie jest przestępstwem. Każda osoba ma prawo do opuszczenia swojego miejsca zamieszkania i szukania lepszego życia w innym. Osoby migrujące nie mogą być traktowane jak przestępcy. Pomi

mo tego, że osoby migrujące nie popełniły żadnej zbrodni i nie powinny być traktowane jak przestępcy, są ścigane i więzione.

Nie zgadzamy się na kryminalizację migracji!
Nie zgadzamy się na nielegalne pushbacki, będące bezpośrednim zagrożeniem życia!
Nie godzimy się na istnienie ośrodków koncentracyjnych, gdzie ludzie przetrzymywani są miesiącami bez wyroków, w warunkach dużo gorszych niż te w więzieniach!

Prawo do swobodnego przemieszczania się jest jednym z podstawowych ludzkich praw. Przez wieki władcy i rządy próbowały utrzymać kontrolę nad ludźmi ograniczając ich prawo do decydowania o sobie, w tym zmiany miejsca zamieszkania.

Dziś, mogłoby się wydawać, żyjemy w świecie, gdzie prawa człowieka są przestrzegane a mroczne czasy, gdy wąska grupa ludzi mogła decydować o życiu lub śmierci, wolności lub więzieniu innych, należą do przeszłości. Tymczasem na naszych oczach ma miejsce brutalna segregacja ludzi, na tych, którzy są „legalni” i tych „nielegalnych”. Ci „nielegalni” pozbawieni są podstawowych praw; prawa do wolności – bezterminowo więzieni w tzw „ośrodkach detencyjnych”, a często też prawa do życia – zatrzymani po przekroczeniu granicy, często na skraju wyczerpania, wywożeni są z powrotem do lasu i tam porzucani. Wiemy o kilkunastu osobach zamordowanych w ten sposób. Od osób uratowanych w lesie słyszeliśmy o kilkudziesięciu. Nikt nie wie dokładnie ile istnień pochłonął już reżim graniczny.
Osoby, którym udało się złożyć wnioski o azyl i te, które dzięki staraniom wielu osób i grup pomocowych, nie zostały wywiezione do lasu, trafiają do ośrodków koncentracyjnych. Nie wiedzą ile spędzą w nich czasu, nie wiedzą na jakim etapie jest ich procedura, nie mają kontaktu ze swoimi bliskimi ani ze światem zewnętrznym, przetrzymywani są w przeludnionych celach, często nie wiedząc nawet gdzie się znajdują. Tygodnie i miesiące spędzone w tych warunkach wzmagają frustrację i strach przed deportacją lub kolejnymi miesiącami w izolacji.

Uwięzieni są całkowicie pozbawiani możliwości decydowania o sobie, wybór środków protestu jest niewielki. Głodówka i bunt. To są środki ostateczne. Doprowadzeni do skrajności, narażając się na brutalną pacyfikację, stawiają na szali swoje życie w desperackim akcie walki o wolność i godność.

Reżim graniczny ma za zadanie dyscyplinować. Dyscyplinowane są osoby z doświadczeniem migracji, żyjące w ciągłej niepewności i strachu przed deportacją czy zamknięciem w więzieniu. Propaganda antymigrancka pozwala z kolei wzbudzić w społeczeństwie irracjonalny strach przed „obcymi”, który umożliwia wprowadzanie kolejnych stanów wyjątkowych i ograniczeń wolności.
Z tą ideą biegle współpracują wielkie organizacje charytatywne, hojnie dotowane przez biznesmenów i coraz większą ilość polityków. Pod ich działaniami, pozornie dyktowanymi troską o powstrzymanie wzrostu nierówności społecznych, politycznych i ekonomicznych, występujących między najbogatszymi a większością ludzi żyjących na świecie, kryje się jedynie cel utrzymania statusu quo oraz zależności krajów globalnego Południa.

Media zdążyły już przyzwyczaić nas do tego, że wartość ludzkiego życia jest różna i zależeć może tylko od tego po której stronie jakiejś granicy się znajdujemy. Nie zgadzając się na instrumentalne traktowanie ludzi na granicy, łączymy się też w walce z innymi przejawami dyskryminacji w obrębie kapitalistycznego porządku.

We want to express our solidarity with all those imprisoned in closed retention centers. Officially they are called centers for foreigners, but we prefer to speak of retention centers, because the conditions in which people live there have nothing to do with what legally should be a center for foreigners.

We will not forget about these people, even though the authorities are trying to do everything in their power to erase their existence from public awareness.

Migrating is not a crime. Everyone have the right to change their place of residence, wherever it is because they are seeking for a better life or not. However, despite the fact that they did not commit any crime, migrants are all over Europe prosecuted and imprisoned.

This is unacceptable! To show our solidarity we decided that we want to pay one of the retention centers a visit.

Freedom of movement is one of the basic human rights. For centuries, rulers and governments have tried to keep it under control. Today it seems to us that we live in a world where human rights are respected. But a brutal segregation of people is taking place in front of our eyes, between those who are “legal” and those who are “illegal”. The “illegal” ones are deprived of basic rights; the right to freedom – indefinitely imprisoned in the so-called “detention centers”, and the right to life – people detained after crossing the border, often on the verge of exhaustion, are taken back to the forest and abandoned there. We know about a dozen people murdered in this way, we have heard about several dozen from people rescued in the forest. Nobody knows how many lives have already been consumed by the border regime in Poland and Europe.

People who managed to fill asylum applications and those who, thanks to the efforts of many people and aid groups, were not taken to the forest, end up in closed retention centers. They do not know how much time they will spend there, they do not know at what stage their procedure is, they have no contact with their relatives or the outside world, they are held in overcrowded cells, and often do not even know where they are. The lack of information given to these people about their own case – supposedly there by administrative decree -, and the absence of a real legal framework makes the living conditions inside these centers even worse than in prisons. Weeks and months spent in these conditions, fearing deportation or more months in isolation, increases frustration, depression and bad health conditions. Completely deprived of the power to decide for themselves, they have little choice of means of protest. Hunger strike and revolt. These are the last resort measures. No one who is not brought to extremes chooses to risk their lives by starving themselves or by risking brutal pacification.

Anti-immigration propaganda makes it possible to arouse an irrational fear of “strangers” in society, which enables the introduction of further states of emergency and restriction of freedom not only for migrants, but for all society. Outwardly, entrepreneurs and politicians show concern through generously subsidized charities while in the background, in politics, they do everything to maintain the status quo – namely the dependency of the so-called ‘countries of the global south’. They ignore the fact that this dependency leads to war, inequality in the distribution of resources, flight and migration. Underpinned by media reports, we are becoming more and more accustomed to the fact that a life is worth different amounts depending on which side of the border we stand.

We do not agree to such objectification of people.

We demand:

  • no longer treating people with a migration experience as criminals
  • liquidation of the retention centers
  • admission by the European Union and Poland of all people who want to stay on its territory
  • suspension of ALL deportations
  • implementation of programs enabling adaptation in new countriesjointly creating a new policy and completely changing a system that is not adapted to the challenges of the present world, such as e.g. global warming and its consequences
  • suspension of the construction of a wall on the Polish-Belarusian border, aimed directly at migrants and bringing the irretrievable destruction of the Białowieża Forest

We want nothing less than to destroy the Fortress Europe and an end to the global system of borders.

Thus we make this open-call for an international demo in Krosno Odrzańskie, not far from where one of the most brutal retention center, Wędrzyn, is located.

On February 12th we call all organisations and individuals in solidarity to come and gather in Krosno Odrzańskie!

Schluss mit der Kriminalisierung von Migration

Wir möchten unsere Solidarität mit all jenen zum Ausdruck bringen, die in den geschlossenen Auffanglagern inhaftiert sind. Offiziell werden sie zwar als Erstaufnahmeeinrichtungen bezeichnet, wir ziehen es allerdings vor, von Auffanglagern zu sprechen, weil die Bedingungen, unter denen Menschen dort leben, nichts mit dem zu tun haben, was rechtlich gesehen eine Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung sein sollte.

Wir werden diese Menschen nicht vergessen, auch wenn die Behörden alles in ihrer Macht stehende tun, um ihre Existenz aus dem öffentlichen Bewusstsein fernzuhalten.

Bewegungsfreiheit ist kein Verbrechen. Jeder Mensch hat das Recht, den Wohnsitz zu wechseln, sei es, weil er ein besseres Leben sucht oder aus jeglichen anderen Gründen. Doch obwohl sie kein Verbrechen begangen haben, werden Migrant:innen in ganz Europa verfolgt und inhaftiert.

Das ist inakzeptabel! Um unsere Solidarität zu zeigen, haben wir uns entschieden, einem der geschlossenen Auffanglager einen Besuch abzustatten.

Bewegungsfreiheit ist eines der grundlegenden Menschenrechte. Jahrhunderte lang haben Herrschende und Regierungen versucht, sie unter Kontrolle zu halten. Heute haben wir den Eindruck, in einer Welt zu leben, in der die Menschenrechte geachtet werden. Aber vor unseren Augen findet eine brutale Trennung statt, zwischen Menschen, die “legal” sind, und denen, die “illegal” sind. Den “Illegalen” werden die grundlegenden Rechte vorenthalten: das Recht auf Freiheit – sie werden auf unbestimmte Zeit in den so genannten “Ausländerzentren” inhaftiert – sowie das Recht auf Leben – die Menschen, die nach dem Grenzübertritt festgenommen werden, sind oft am Rande der Erschöpfung und werden in den Wald zurückgebracht und dort ausgesetzt. Wir wissen von einem Dutzend Menschen, die auf diese Weise ermordet wurden. Wir haben von mehreren Dutzend Menschen gehört, die im Wald in letzer Minute gerettet wurden. Niemand weiß, wie viele Menschenleben das Grenzregime in Polen und Europa bereits gekostet hat.

Menschen, die es geschafft haben, einen Asylantrag zu stellen, und solche, die dank der Bemühungen vieler Hilfsorganisationen und Einzelpersonen nicht in den Wald gebracht wurden, landen in geschlossenen Auffanglagern. Sie wissen nicht, wie viel Zeit sie dort verbringen werden, sie wissen nicht, in welcher Phase der Bearbeitung sich ihr Verfahren befindet, sie haben keinen Kontakt zu ihren Angehörigen oder zur Außenwelt, sie werden in überfüllten Zellen festgehalten und wissen oft nicht mal, wo sie sich befinden. Der Mangel an Informationen, die diese Menschen über ihren eigenen Fall erhalten (der angeblich durch einen Verwaltungserlass geregelt ist), und das Fehlen eines echten rechtlichen Rahmens machen die Lebensbedingungen in diesen Zentren noch schlimmer als in den Gefängnissen. Wochen- und Monatelange Aufenthalte unter diesen Bedingungen, die Angst vor der Abschiebung oder weitere Monate in Isolation verstärken Frustration, Depression und den oft ohnehin schon schlechten Gesundheitszustand. Völlig der Möglichkeit beraubt, selbst zu entscheiden, haben sie kaum eine Wahl der Protestmittel. Hungerstreik und Revolte. Das sind die letzten Mittel, die zur Verfügung stehen. Niemand, der nicht zum Äußersten getrieben wird, bringt sein Leben in Gefahr, indem er hungert oder eine brutale Unterwerfung riskiert.

Die migrationsfeindliche Propaganda schürt in der Gesellschaft eine irrationale Angst vor “Fremden”, die die Einführung weiterer Ausnahmezustände und somit die Einschränkung der Freiheit für die gesamte Gesellschaft ermöglicht.
Nach außen hin zeigen sich Unternehmer- und Politiker:innen durch großzügig subventionierte Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen besorgt während sie im Hintergrund, in der Politik alles daran setzen den Status quo – nämlich die Abhängigkeit der sog. ‘Länder des globalen Südens’ aufrechtzuerhalten. Dabei ignorieren Sie, dass genau diese Abhängigkeit zu Krieg, ungleichheit in der Ressourcenverteilung, Flucht- und Migration führt.
Durch Medienberichte untermauert, gewöhnen wir uns immer mehr daran, dass ein Leben unterschiedlich viel wert ist, jenachdem, auf welcher Seite der Grenze wir stehen.

Eine Solche Objektivierung von Menschen können und dürfen wir nicht weiter zulassen!

Wir fordern:

  • Schluss mit der Kriminalisierung von Menschen mit Migrationserfahrung
  • die Auflösung von Auffanglagern
  • die Aufnahme aller Menschen, die auf dem Gebiet der Europäischen Union und Polens bleiben wollen, durch die Europäische Union
  • Aussetzung ALLER Abschiebungen
  • Umsetzung von Programmen, die eine Integration in neue Länder ermöglichen
  • Gemeinsame Entwicklung einer neuen Politik und vollständige Veränderung eines Systems, das nicht an die Herausforderungen der heutigen Welt angepasst ist, wie z.B. die globale Erwärmung und ihre Folge
  • die Aussetzung des Baus einer Mauer an der polnisch-weißrussischen Grenze, die sich direkt gegen Migrant:innen richtet und die unwiederbringliche Zerstörung des Białowieża-Waldes mit sich bringt

Wir wollen nichts weniger als die Zerstörung der Festung Europa und ein Ende des globalen Grenzsystems.

Deshalb rufen wir alle solidarischen Organisationen und Einzelpersonen zu einer internationalen Demo in Krosno Odrzańskie auf!

Abschiebezentrum BER verhindern! DEMO 9.Februar

-> Endpunkt: Rathaus Schönefeld, Hans-Grade-Allee 11, 12529 Schönefeld (hier könnt ihr euch auch um 17:45 Uhr nachkommen, das Treffen der Lokalpolitiker*innen beginnt um 18 Uhr)

Das brandenburgische Innenministerium hat angekündigt, bis 2025 ein sogenanntes “Ein- und Ausreisezentrum am Flughafen BER” in Schönefeld zu errichten. Damit will die Regierung ein Pilotprojekt zur Beschleunigung und Ausweitung von restriktiven Asylverfahren und Abschiebungen etablieren. Der Bau soll auf einer Fläche von 4 Hektar noch in diesem Jahr beginnen und ein Ankunfts-, Transit-, Gewahrsams- und Rückführungsgebäude umfassen. Der bisherige Planungsprozess war sehr intransparent und undemokratisch.

Am Flughafen BER gibt es bereits eine Einrichtung für die Inhaftierung von Migrant*innen, Geflüchtenden und Reisenden, der sogenannte “Ausreisegewahrsam”, in dem bis zu 20 Personen für kurze Zeit festgehalten werden können, um ihre Abschiebung sicherzustellen. Das neue Abschiebezentrum wird mehrere Formen der Inhaftnahme unter einem Dach vereinen: Den Ausreisegewahrsam, die Inhaftierung​​​​ aufgrund der Verweigerung der Einreise bei der Ankunft am Flughafen sowie vor Dublin-Überstellungen und während des Flughafen-Asylverfahrens. Die Zentrale Ausländer*innenbehörde Brandenburg (ZABH) prognostiziert einen stetigen Anstieg der Inhaftierungen im geplanten Abschiebezentrum. Sie rechnet im Jahr 2025 mit 300 Flughafen-Asylverfahren, 600 Gewahrsamsfällen sowie 150 Rückführungsfällen und weiteren 300 Fällen im Jahr 2040. Auch wenn sich die brandenburgische Landesregierung in ihrem Koalitionsvertrag gegen Abschiebehaft ausgesprochen hat, können wir diesem Versprechen angesichts der Baupläne am Flughafen BER nicht trauen!

Jegliche Form der Inhaftierung von Menschen aufgrund eines nicht “richtigen” Visums oder Aufenthaltstitels ist eine zutiefst rassitische und gewaltvolle Ausübung der Staatsmacht. Dies probieren Menschen in Machtpositionen zu normalisieren, zu beschönigen und unsichtbar zu machen! In Deutschland zeigt sich seit einigen Jahren, dass mehr als 50% der Menschen in Abschiebungshaft illegalerweise inhaftiert sind. Wir sind überzeugt, dass 100% der Menschen ungerechterweise inhaftiert sind! Durch den Zwang zur Erlangung von Visa und Aufenthaltsgenehmigungen, die Unterbringung in Lagern und die Exklusivität des Asylverfahrens wird Schwarzen Menschen und People of Color systematisch ein selbstbestimmtes Leben und die freie Wahl des Aufenthaltsortes verweigert.

Die systematische rassistische Unterdrückung, Abschiebung und Diskriminierung von Menschen nehmen wir nicht hin! Deshalb wehren wir uns gegen die Inhaftierung und Abschiebung von Menschen, egal unter welchen Umständen!

Schafft alle Gefängnisse ab! Schafft alle Lager ab! Keine Grenzen! Gegen jeden Rassismus! Freizügigkeit für alle! Bedingungsloses Bleiberecht für Alle!

Stop the BER Deportation Center!
Join us to prevent the construction of another deportation prison!

The ministry of interior of Brandenburg announced that they are planning to build a so called “entry and exit center at BER airport” in Schönefeld until 2025. Thereby, the German government is trying to establish a pilot project with the aim of accelerating and expanding restrictive asylum procedures as well as deportations. The construction on an area of 4 hectares is planned to start this year and will comprise buildings for arrival, transit, custody and deportation. So far, the planning process was highly intransparent and undemocratic.

At the BER airport, there already exist facilities to detain migrants, refugees and travelers like the so called “Ausreisegewahrsam” where up to 20 people can be detained for a short time in order to ensure their deportation. The new deportation center will include several forms of migrant detention under one roof such as Ausreisegewahrsam and detention during airport asylum prcedures, due to the denial of entry by arrival at the airport and prior to Dublin transfers. The central foreigners authority of Brandenburg (ZABH) has predicted a steady increase of incarcerations at the planned deportation center. They expect 300 airport asylum procedure cases, 600 cases of custody as well as 150 cases of deportations by the year of 2025 and 300 cases more in 2040. Even though the government of Brandenburg has agreed in their coalition agreement not to build any deportation detention facilities where people are hold for prolonged periods of time (Abschiebungshaft), we do not trust this promise!

All detention of people due to not having the “correct” visa or legal status is racist state violence that people in power are trying to normalize, invisibilize or euphemize! In Germany, for several years it has been clear that more than 50% of people in Abschiebungshaft are illegally detained. We are convinced that 100% of people are unjustly detained! By being forced to obtain visas and residence permits, being forced into refugee camps and asylum procedures, Black people and people of colour are systematically deprived of a self-determined life and a free choice of where to move and live.

We do not accept the systematic racist oppression, deportation and discrimination of human beings! Thus, we will resist the detention and deportation of anyone, in any circumstance!

Abolish all prisons! Abolish all camps! No Borders! Against all Racism! Freedom of movement for everyone! Bedingungsloses Bleiberecht für Alle!

An der polnisch-belarussischen Grenze und in Calais zeigt sich aktuell wieder: Das EU-Grenzregime tötet! Die Politik der Festung Europa hat seit 1993 über 44.000 Menschen getötet. Menschen verlieren ihr Leben, weil die EU sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, Grenzen statt Menschen zu schätzen. Frontex ist zentraler Bestandteil dieser menschenverachtenden und rassistischen Abschottungspolitik. Die EU-Agentur entwickelt sich durch ihren stetigen Ausbau zu einer unkontrollierbaren Grenzpolizei, die direkt an Menschenrechtsverletzungen beteiligt ist. Am 18.12.2021, dem Internationalen Tag der Migrant:innen, gehen wir daher in Berlin auf die Straße und machen deutlich: Frontex und das rassistische System, das es repräsentiert, gehören abgeschafft. Auch Deutschland beteiligt sich personell und materiell an den Menschenrechtsverletzungen von Frontex. Trotz zahlreicher Berichte setzt auch die neue Regierung auf diese menschenverachtende Agentur und möchte sie zu “einer echten Grenzschutzagentur ausbauen”. Das können wir nicht länger akzeptieren. Gemeinsam stellen wir uns laut und wütend gegen ein Weiter-So in einem System der Abschottung, das inhärent rassistisch ist und koloniale und kapitalistische Machtstrukturen stärkt.

Lasst uns am 18.12. gemeinsam deutlich machen: Kein Mensch ist illegal. Jede*r sollte frei sein, sich zu bewegen und zu leben. Wir sehen uns auf der Straße! #AbolishFrontex

International Day of Action: Abolish-Frontex- Freedom of movement for everyone

At the moment, there are thousands of people stuck in a military zone at the polish-belarusian border, without any access to supplies and care, unseen by the public eye. It is an example for the brutality of the EU-border regime: humans are stuck at the external European borders for years and human rights are violated by continuing push- and pullbacks. People are paying with their lives, because the EU decided to protect borders instead of people. The politics of the fortress Europa have killed at least 44.764 persons since the year 1993. The Border Protection Service Frontex is a central component of this humiliating and racist politics of isolation. Because of the continuing expansion, it is becoming an uncontrollable border police that actively takes part in human rights violations. Legal, political or personnel-wise consequences: no such luck! Frontex is loosely controlled by itself and isn´t held accountable for any of their actions.Our new government is planning on systematically mistreating the rights of people on the move at the external EU-borders, too. Their reaction to the situation at the polish-belarusian border is mainly one: a call for Frontex. In the coalition contact it also says: “We want Frontex to act based on human rights and to evolve based on their granted mandate as a real European Border Protection Service. The uncompromising protection of human rights is incompatible with border protection and migration defence. Frontex as “real border protection” will continue to violate human rights under the name of the “European Border Protection” and actively covers those up.A continuing of this system of partition that is racist and supports colonial and capitalist power structures is unacceptable. United we stand loud and angry: On the 18th of December, the international day of migrants, we will be on the streets of Berlin to make one thing clear: Frontex and the racist system it is reproducing should be banned!Lets emphasize together: No one is illegal! A la frontière entre la Pologne et la Biélorussie, des milliers de personnes en quête de protection sont actuellement bloquées dans une zone militaire interdite, sans accès aux soins et à l’abri du regard du public. C’est un exemple de la brutalité du régime frontalier de l’UE : depuis des années, des personnes sont bloquées à toutes les frontières extérieures de l’UE et les droits de l’homme sont systématiquement violés par de violents push et pullbacks. Des personnes perdent leurs vies parce que l’UE s’est fixé pour objectif de protéger les frontières plutôt que les personnes. La politique de l’EU a tué plus de 44.764 personnes depuis 1993. L’agence européenne de protection des frontières Frontex est un élément central de cette politique d’isolement raciste et inhumaine. Par son développement constant, elle se transforme en une police des frontières incontrôlable qui participe directement à ces violations des droits de l’homme. Des conséquences juridiques, politiques ou personnelles? Non ! Frontex se contrôle avant tout elle-même et n’a de comptes à rendre à personne.Le nouveau gouvernement fédéral prévoit lui aussi de continuer à violer systématiquement les droits des personnes exilées aux frontières extérieures de l’EU Ainsi, la réponse à la situation le long de la frontière entre la Pologne et la Biélorussie est avant tout une : L’appel à Frontex. L’accord de coalition stipule en outre : “Nous voulons que Frontex devienne une véritable agence européenne de protection des frontières, sur la base des droits de l’homme et du mandat qui lui a été confié”. Le respect intransigeant des droits de l’homme n’est jamais compatible avec la mission de protection des frontières et de défense contre l’immigration ! Frontex, en tant que “véritable agence de protection des frontières”, continuera à faires des violations des droits de l’homme au nom de la ‘protection des frontières européennes’ et à les dissimuler activement.Nous ne pouvons plus accepter la poursuite de ce système d’isolement, qui est intrinsèquement raciste et qui renforce les structures de pouvoir coloniales et capitalistes. Ensemble, nous nous y opposons fort : Le 18 décembre 2021, à l’occasion de la Journée internationale des migrants, nous descendrons dans la rue à Berlin pour dire clairement que Frontex et le système raciste qu’il représente doivent être abolis.Personne n’est illégal ! Dear friends, since late August, the Polish-Belarusian border has been the site of a tragedy. Thousands of people have become stuck on this border, surrounded by barbed wire, military forces, and a primary forest. The first snow fell just a few days ago, and people are dying from hypothermia. Families, mostly from Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq, are being separated, dislocated and assaulted. As one Egyptian survivor has shared with us: “we are being pushed from one set of wires to another. I spent 25 days in the forest. I cannot go back to this nightmare”. Due to the Polish and Belarussian governments’ actions, there is no clarity as to how many people have now been killed by this border. Doctors, NGOs, journalists, lawyers, activists are still not legally allowed to enter the state of the emergency zone on the Polish side of the border. That is a huge area where nobody knows the extent of the tragedy, and the people active on the ground are being intimidated by the army and border guards on a daily basis. On the Belarusian side, the intimidation has been going on since last year’s ‘election’, and with over 800 political prisoners, not many dare to take the risk to travel to the border area.We – with a lot of help from our friends – are organising a two-day fundraising and information event in Berlin. This is first and foremost a humanitarian crisis, and at the moment most of the work to avoid further deaths is being done by grassroots activist groups, most of which are in the Grupa Granica alliance.We would like to call for another donation drive to support their work. We will be collecting CASH (EUR or PL), POWERBANKS and SMARTPHONES only. We will travel to Poland after this event and hand everything over to activists from Grupa Granica directly, just like we did last time. You can drop off the items throughout the weekend of 11-12 December at Haus der Statistik.During the weekend we will organise workshops and panel discussions to stay informed and collectivise our energies in support of those on the border. We will also have many contributions from our amazing community: including an evening full of audiovisual perfomances, a fundraiser exhibition, food, and other interventions. الأصدقاء الأعزاءمنذ أغسطس/آب الماضي والحدود البولندية البيلاروسية تشهد مأساة. فقد علق الآلاف على الحدود، محاطين بالأسلاك الشائكة والقوات العسكرية والغابات المعزولة. ويموت البعض منهم حاليا بسبب البرودة بعد أن بدأ موسم سقوط الثلوج قبل أيام. كما تتعرض العائلات للفصل والعزل والتنكيل، ومعظمهم من أفغانستان وإيران والعراق. وكما أخبرنا أحد الناجين المصريين: “لقد أُجبرنا على الانتقال من مكان احتجاز إلى آخر. قضيتُ في الغابة ٢٥ يوما، ولا يمكن أن أعود إلى هذا الكابوس”. وبسبب الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الحكومتان البولندية والبيلاروسية يحيط الغموض بالموقف، ويصعب معرفة العدد الحقيقي لمن قتلوا على الحدود. وحتى اليوم لا يمكن للأطباء والمحامين وممثلي منظمات المجتمع المدني والصحفيين والنشطاء الدخول بشكل قانوني إلى الجانب البولندي من الحدود بعد أن تم إعلان المنطقة منطقة طوارئ. وهي منطقة شاسعة، ولا يمكن لأحد معرفة الأبعاد الحقيقية للمأساة فيها. الوضع على الأرض يزداد صعوبة، فالنشطاء يتعرضون يوميا لتهديدات من القوات العسكرية وحرس الحدود. أما على الجانب البيلاروسي فالتهديدات مستمرة منذ “الانتخابات” التي عُقدت العام الماضي، والتي صاحبها اعتقال أكثر من ٨٠٠ سجين سياسي، ولا يجرأ كثيرون على المخاطرة بالسفر إلى منطقة الحدود هناك.لذلك نقوم بتنظيم فعالية تستمر لمدة يومين في برلين لجمع التبرعات وتقديم معلومات حول المأساة، وذلك بمساعدة الكثير من أصدقائنا. هذه أزمة إنسانية أولا وقبل كل شيء، ويدور عمل مجموعات النشطاء على الأرض حاليا، ومعظمهم من تحالف جروبا جرانيكا Grupa Granica، على تجنب سقوط المزيد من القتلى.ندعو إلى تقديم قافلة مساعدات ثانية لدعم عمل التحالف. وسنجمع تبرعات نقدية (بعملة اليورو أو السلوتي البولندية) وأجهزة تليفون محمول ذكية، وبطاريات Powerbanks فقط. ثم سنسافر إلى بولندا لإيصال التبرعات مباشرة إلى نشطاء جروبا جرانيكا، كما فعلنا سابقا. ويمكنك تقديم التبرعات في عطلة نهاية الأسبوع يومي ١١ و ١٢ ديسمبر/كانون أول في هاوس دير شتاتيستك ببرلين Haus der Statistik.خلال هذين اليومين سيتم تنظيم ورش عمل وندوات حوارية من أجل تقديم معلومات، وتنسيق الجهود بشكل جماعي لمساعدة العالقين في منطقة الحدود. يصاحب الفعاليات مساهمات عزيزة من أعضاء مجتمعنا، من بينها موسيقى تقدمها كاشيا جوشينسكا Kasia Gościńska بصحبة أصدقاء، ومعرض فني لجمع المساعدات، وطعام، ومداخلات أخرى. سننشر الجدول الكامل قريبا. ونتمنى أن تشاركونا في هذه الأوقات العصيبة.

رویداد دو روزه جمع آوری کمک های مالی درهاوس در اشتاتیستیک*، ۱۱ و ۱۲ دسامبردوستان عزیز،از اواخر ماه اوت، مرز لهستان و بلاروس محل یک فاجعه بوده است. هزاران نفر در این مرز، محاصره شده میان سیم خاردار، نیروهای نظامی، و جنگل گیر افتاده اند. اولین برف همین چند روز پیش بارید و عده ای جان خود را بر اثر سرمازدگی از دست داده اند. خانواده ها، عمدتاً از افغانستان، ایران و عراق، از هم جدا شده، آواره و مورد حمله قرار گیرند. یک بازمانده مصری چنین به اطلاع ما رسانده: ” ما از یک منطقه با سیم خاردار به دیگری رانده می شویم. من 25 روز را در جنگل گذراندم. نمی توانم به این کابوس برگردم”. به دلیل اقدامات دولت های لهستان و بلاروس، مشخص نیست که چند نفر در این مرز کشته شده اند. پزشکان، سازمان‌های غیردولتی، روزنامه‌نگاران، وکلا، فعالان هنوز اجازه ورود قانونی به منطقه وضعیت اضطراری در سمت مرز لهستان را ندارند. این منطقه بزرگی است که هیچ کس از میزان فاجعه در ان آگاه نیست و فعالین در محل هر روز توسط ارتش و مرزبانان می شوند. در بلاروس خشونت از زمان “انتخابات” سال گذشته ادامه داشته است و با بیش از 800 زندانی سیاسی، بسیاری جرات نمی کنند خطر سفر به منطقه مرزی را بپذیرند..ما – با کمک دوستانمان – یک رویداد جمع آوری کمک مالی و اطلاعاتی دو روزه را در برلین سازماندهی می کنیم. این اتفاق در درجه اول یک بحران انسانی است و در حال حاضر بیشترین کار برای جلوگیری از مرگ و میر بیشتر توسط گروه‌های فعال مردمی انجام می‌شود که اکثرا وابسته به گروپا گرانیکا** هستند.ما می خواهیم برای حمایت از کار آنها، برای کمک مالی دیگری فراخوان دهیم. ما فقط پول نقد (یورو یا زلوتی لهستان) ، پاوربانک و تلفن های هوشمند را جمع آوری خواهیم کرد. ما پس از این رویداد ، مانند دفعه قبل به لهستان سفر خواهیم کرد و همه چیز را مستقیماً به فعالان گروه گرانیکا خواهیم داد. می توانید اقلام را در آخرهفته ۱۱ و ۱۲ دسامبر در هاوس در اشتاتیستیک* تحویل دهید

Drogie osoby, od sierpnia tego roku granica polsko-białoruska jest miejscem tragedii odgrywającej się na naszych oczach. Tysiące ludzi utknęło na granicy otoczonych drutem kolczastym, wojskiem i lasem pierwotnym. Pierwszy śnieg spadł zaledwie kilka dni temu, osoby umierają z powodu hipotermii. Rodziny, głównie z Afganistanu, Iranu oraz Iraku, są rozdzielane, relokowane i atakowane. Jedna z osób z Egiptu, która przetrwała, podzieliła się z nami swoją historią: „przerzuca się nas z jednego drutu kolczastego na drugi. Spędziłxm 25 dni w lesie. Nie mogę wrócić do tego koszmaru”. Przez poczynania polskich i białoruskich rządzących nie ma pewności co do liczby osób, które do tej pory zostały pozbawione życia w wyniku sytuacji na granicy. Osoby niosące pomoc medyczną, organizacje pozarządowe, media, osoby prawnicze oraz aktywistyczne nadal nie mogą legalnie wejść na teren objęty stanem wyjątkowym po polskiej stronie granicy. Jest to ogromny obszar, gdzie nikt nie wie jak wielki jest wymiar tej tragedii, a osoby działające na miejscu są codziennie zastraszane przez wojsko i Straż Graniczną. Po stronie białoruskiej uciskanie społeczeństwa trwa nieprzerwanie od zeszłorocznych „wyborów”. 800 Białorusinek i Białorusinów przebywa w więzieniach ze względu na działania polityczne, dlatego też niewiele osób ma odwagę podjąć ryzyko i pojechać do strefy granicznej.My – z ogromnym wsparciem naszych zaprzyjaźnionych osób – organizujemy w Berlinie dwudniowe wydarzenie mające na celu zebranie środków finansowych oraz szerzenie informacji na temat tego humanitarnego kryzysu. Ponieważ to jest przede wszystkim kryzys humanitarny i właśnie teraz najwięcej pracy w ochronę ludzkich żyć wkładają oddolne grupy aktywistyczne, z których większość należy do Grupy Granica.Chcemy ponownie zorganizować zbiórkę w celu wsparcia ich wysiłków. Będziemy zbierać wyłącznie GOTÓWKĘ (EUR albo PLN), POWERBANKI oraz SMARTFONY. Następnie pojedziemy do Polski i przekażemy wszystko bezpośrednio osobom aktywistycznym z Grupy Granica. Pieniądze, powerbanki oraz smartfonymożecie przynieść w weekend 11 i 12 grudnia do Haus der Statistik.Podczas naszego weekendowego wydarzenia zorganizowane będą warsztaty oraz panele dyskusyjne, aby szerzyć informacje i połączyć nasze siły we wspieraniu tych, które i którzypracują bezpośrednio na granicy. Zagra dla nas Kasia Gościńska z zaprzyjaźnionymi osobami, będzie też możliwość zakupu dzieł sztuki ze specjalnie na tę okazję przygotowanej wystawy – dochód z aukcji zostanie również przekazany Grupie Granica. Liebe Alle, ein Teil von uns hat sich vor einer Woche getroffen, um über die humanitäre Krise an der Grenze zwischen Belarus und Polen zu diskutieren und sich zu organisieren. Seit mehr als zwei Monaten ist die Situation der Menschen, die versuchen, die Grenze zu überqueren, eskaliert, und die Gewalt und die Verbrechen, die von der Polizei und den Spezialeinheiten begangen werden, sind unerträglich. Frauen und Kinder werden abgetrennt, ganze Familien werden auseinandergerissen und abgedrängt – wie uns ein ägyptische*r Überlebende*r mitteilte: “Wir werden von einer Reihe von Drähten zu einer anderen geschoben. Ich habe 25 Tage im Wald verbracht. Ich kann nicht in diesen Alptraum zurückkehren”. Freiwillige Helfer an der Front schlagen seit Monaten Alarm über dramatische Ereignisse, die nicht abzureißen scheinen. Die Temperaturen sinken und machen es immer schwieriger, das Leben von Tausenden von Flüchtenden zu schützen.Vor diesem Hintergrund veranstalten wir eine zweitägige Benefizveranstaltung zur Unterstützung der Flüchtenden und Aktivistis zwischen Belarus und Polen. Etwa 3000-4000 Menschen aus dem Irak, Syrien, Afghanistan, Ägypten und anderen Ländern sitzen an der Grenze fest und sie werden in einem politischen Spiel benutzt, das von Lukaschenko und Putin inszeniert wurde, um Druck auf die EU und die Sanktionen auszuüben, die sie gegen die belarussische Wirtschaft verhängen. Mit dieser Veranstaltung hoffen wir, Gelder zu sammeln, die unabhängigen Altivistis an der Grenze helfen können, Flüchtende und Migrierende mit grundlegender Unterstützung wie Nahrung, Unterkunft, Smartphones/Powerbanks, Kleidung und Rechtsbeistand zu versorgen. Am Wochenende vom 11. und 12. Dezember werden wir im Haus der Statistik in Berlin verschiedene Workshops und Podiumsdiskussionen veranstalten, um uns und euch zu informieren und unsere Energie zur Unterstützung des Grenzkampfes zu bündeln. Es wäre toll, wenn ihr euch uns in dieser dringenden Zeit anschließen könntet.Der gesamte Erlös der Benefizveranstaltung am 11. und 12. Dezember im HDS wird an die Arbeit von Grupa Granica zur Unterstützung der Personen an der belarussischen Grenze gespendet.

Cher.e.s ami.e.s, Depuis la fin du mois d’aout dernier, la frontière entre la Pologne et la Biélorussie est devenue le théâtre d’une tragédie. Des milliers de personnes sont piégées à cette frontière, entourées de fils barbelés, de forces militaires et d’une forêt vierge. Les premières neiges viennent de s’abattre il y a quelques jours et des personnes meurent d’hypothermie. Des familles, pour la plupart d’Afghanistan d’Iran et d’Irak sont séparées, disloquées et attaquées. Comme un survivant Egyptien l’a partagé avec nous : « Nous nous faisions poussés d’un coté des barbelés vers un autre. J’ai passé 25 jours dans la forêt. Je ne peux pas retourner vers ce cauchemar. »À cause des actions des gouvernements polonais et biélorusse, il n’y a aucune clarté quant au nombre de personnes ayant été tuées à cette frontière. Docteur.e.s, associations, journalistes, avocat.e.s, activistes ne sont toujours pas légalement autorisé.e.s à entrer dans la zone de la frontière coté polonais qui a été placé en zone d’état d’urgence. Il s’agit d’une zone très étendue de laquelle on ne connait pas l’étendue de la tragédie, les personnes actives sur place sont intimidées tous les jours par les forces militaires et les gardes-frontières. Du coté biélorusse, les intimidations ont cours depuis les « élections » de l’année dernière, avec plus de 800 prisonnier.e.s politiques très peu de personnes prennent le risque de voyager jusqu’à la zone frontalière.Nous — avec l’aide précieuses de nos ami.e.s — organisons un évènement de levée de fonds et d’information pendant deux jours à Berlin.Il s’agit avant tout d’une crise humanitaire et au moment où nous vous parlons, la majorité du travail afin d’éviter que le nombre de morts augmente est fait par des organisations communautaires, dont la plupart appartiennent à l’alliance Grupa Granica.Nous aimerions vous appeler à une levée de fonds afin de soutenir leur travail.Nous accepterons les donations en ARGENT LIQUIDE (EUR, PL), BATTERIES EXTERNES et TÉLÉPHONES PORTABLES uniquement.Nous partirons vers la Pologne après cet événement et donnerons tout aux activistes de Grupa Granica directement, comme nous l’avions fait la dernière fois.Vous pourrez déposer vos objets le weekend du 11 et 12 décembre à la Haus der Statistik.Durant le weekend nous organiserons des ateliers et des tables rondes afin de rester informé.e.s et de mettre en commun nos énergies pour soutenir celles et ceux bloqué.e.s à la frontières.Il y aura aussi plusieurs contributions de notre incroyable communauté : avec entre autres la musique de Kasia Gościńska et ses ami.e.s, une exposition avec mise aux enchères, à boire et à manger et d’autres interventions.     UNHCR täglich für ihre sofortige Evakuierung und die Befreiung ihrer Geschwister, die noch immer in

    ausgesetzt sind

    In early October 2021, the Libyan authorities forcibly and unlawfully mass detained more than 5,000 people
    seeking protection in Tripoli, including nearly 800 women and 300 children. In the course of several escape
    attempts, thousands managed to free themselves, dozens lost their lives. For more than a month, survivors
    have protested daily in front of UNHCR’s Community Day Center for their immediate evacuation and the
    liberation of their siblings, who are still trapped in detention centers and subjected to torture, sexual violence,
    extortion, enslavement and murder.
    We stand in solidarity with them and demand
    ● the immediate evacuation of all protection seekers from Libya to a safe country in the EU
    ● the immediate cessation of all funding and cooperation with the murderous Libyan authorities
    ● the restoration/legalization of search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean Sea
    ● the establishment of safe escape routes and an end to the deadly EU border regime from Belarus to
    Libya!

Ein Jahr Denkmal – lasst uns zusammenkommen!

Am 26. September 2020 wurde das Denkmal für die Opfer von Rassismus und Polizeigewalt auf dem O-Platz errichtet. Das ist nun ein Jahr her.
In diesem Jahr wurde getrauert und gekämpft, unterschiedliche Initiativen haben sich den Ort angeeignet und  ein langer Weg durch die Behörden liegt hinter uns. Nun ist das Denkmal legalisiert, doch an den Umständen hat sich wenig geändert. Nach wie vor wird aus dem Bezirk abgeschoben, Racial Profiling ist gängige Polizeistrategie, es kommt zu Übergriffen und zu Morden – Konsequenzen? Fehlanzeige!

Umso wichtiger ist es, dass wir unsere Kämpfe weiterhin verbinden und uns vernetzen. Daher wollen wir das Einjährige des Denkmals, als einen Anlass nutzen, um zusammen zu kommen. Gemeinsam wollen wir ein Zeichen setzen, Erinnerungen festhalten, aber auch mahnen und die Kontinuitäten der rassistischen und polizeilichen Gewalt anklagen.

Kommt daher am 30.10.2021 ab 14h zum Denkmal. 
Es wird Essen, Musik, eine Ausstellung, Siebdruck und weitere Beiträge geben. Wenn ihr euch einbringen möchtet, meldet euch gerne bei uns.

The call from Guben:

Racism is not an opinion – prevent the vigilante justice of neo-Nazis!

The news about the opening of the border from Belarus to Poland has drawn wide circles. Refugees are trying to escape their catastrophic living conditions at the risk of their lives and are now increasingly choosing the route via Belarus and Poland to East Brandenburg in order to be able to live a safe life in Western or Northern Europe. In Germany they arrive completely exhausted and hypothermic and often need medical and psychological care.
The fascist party “Der III. Weg” is calling for a manhunt in and around Guben on Saturday, October 23. They want to prevent people seeking protection from crossing the border and thus create the impression of a vigilante group that wants to exercise “vigilante justice”. They are calling for this on a supra-regional basis.

We do not want to leave the region to the neo-Nazis. We want to set a sign that asylum is and remains a human right. Especially the current frightening pictures from Afghanistan after the takeover of the Taliban should force us to act.
Come to the manifestation to oppose these inhuman actions of the neo-Nazis!


Our manifestation will last for 24 hours. We will try to provide a basic stock of food. It is important to be present also at night, because exactly then the III. Weg wants to carry out its “border surveillance”.

Le racisme n’est pas une opinion – empêchez la justice d’autodéfense des néo-nazis !
La nouvelle de l’ouverture de la frontière entre la Biélorussie et la Pologne a fait le tour du monde. Les réfugiés tentent d’échapper à leurs conditions de vie catastrophiques au péril de leur vie et choisissent de plus en plus souvent de passer par la Biélorussie et la Pologne pour rejoindre le Brandebourg oriental afin de pouvoir vivre en sécurité en Europe occidentale ou septentrionale. En Allemagne, ils arrivent complètement épuisés et en hypothermie et ont souvent besoin de soins médicaux et psychologiques.
Le parti fasciste “Der III. Weg” appelle à une chasse à l’homme dans et autour de Guben le samedi 23 octobre. Ils veulent empêcher les personnes en quête de protection de franchir la frontière et donner ainsi l’impression d’un groupe d’autodéfense qui veut exercer une “justice d’autodéfense”. Ils demandent cela sur une base suprarégionale.
Nous ne voulons pas laisser la région aux néo-nazis. Nous voulons montrer que l’asile est et reste un droit humain. Les images effrayantes qui nous parviennent actuellement d’Afghanistan après la prise de pouvoir des Talibans devraient nous obliger à agir.
Venez à la manifestation pour vous opposer à ces actions inhumaines des néo-nazis !
